A brake pedal 21 provided with a cam part 21b on one end part 21a rotatably supported on a vehicle body side is connected with the piston member 12 through a link member 22. A fluid pressure control valve 1 is arranged in proximity to the brake pedal 21, it is driven by rotational movement of the cam part 21b at stepping-in of the brake pedal 21, hereby pressure liquid in an outward pressure source 7 is introduced to the pressure chamber 9 through a control passage 16 to assist operation of the brake pedal 21.

    • PURPOSE:To secure the stability of a vehicle while improving the turning ability by providing a steering condition detecting means for detecting the steering condition, a running condition detecting means for detecting a vehicle speed or a lateral acceleration added to the vehicle, and a wheel controlling means. CONSTITUTION:A wheel control means steers rear wheels in the inverse phase through a rear wheel steering means when a detected value by a running condition detecting means is less than a predetermined value in response to signals from a steering condition detecting means and the running condition detecting means for detecting the steering condition, and the vehicle speed or lateral acceleration respectively at the time of turning. When the detected value is more than a predetermined value, wheel braking forces are set different between the inner side and outer side in the turning direction to produce a yaw moment for assisting this turn corresponding to the turning condition for the inner and outer wheels in the turning direction. The improvement of turning ability can thus be realized by reduction of an understeer tendency by inverse phase steering of rear wheels in a range where the vehicle speed or lateral acceleration is less than predetermined value, while if it is more than predetermined, it can be achieved by utilizing the differential braking force for braking the wheels. The stability is also secured.

The sideslip angle of a steering wheel is detected by a means A. The steering direction of the steering wheel is judged by a means B. The braking force is calculated so that the braking force of the inside wheel in the steering direction of at least one of front wheels and rear wheels is increased than that of the outside wheel based on the sideslip angle of the steering wheel, and a braking force control signal is outputted by a means C based on the calculated braking force. The braking force of the wheel is changed by a means D in response to the outputted braking force control signal.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance the cornering performance of a car by furnishing a brake liquid pressure control means to make adjustment so that the brake liquid pressure supplied to either of the left and right wheels becomes smaller than the brake liquid pressure supplied to the other wheel in compliance with increasing stamp force on a brake pedal when the car is put under control. CONSTITUTION:When a car is in cornering brakes, a changeover means 20 is operated to select one of the left and right wheels, and thereupon adjustment is made by control means 13, 14 so that the brake liquid pressure supplied to the outer wheel viewed in the turning direction will become smaller than the brake liquid pressure supplied to the inner wheel. Accordingly a yaw-rate peculiar to the car body is generated on the basis of the synergism of a yaw- moment, which originates from unbalance of brake liquid pressures supplied supplied to the left and right wheels under covering, and a sideways force resulting from operation of the steering wheel. The understeer tendency of the car is offset with this yaw-rate. The steering characteristic of car is transferred temporarily to the oversteer tendency.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain an inexpensive traction control device by adding an on-off valve and a check valve to an antiskid control device so that a pump and a 3-positional valve of the antiskid control device can also be used respectively as a pressure source and a pressure control valve of the traction control device. CONSTITUTION:When slip occurs at a driven wheel and traction control is necessary, an on-off valve 30 is closed to shut off a passage between a hydraulic brake line portion on a master cylinder side and the master cylinder 6. When a pump 17 on an exhaust pressure line is then driven, the pump 17 sucks and delivers brake fluid from a reservoir tank 33a of the master cylinder 6 via a check valve 33 and pressure-feeds the brake fluid to a 3-positional valve 10a. The 3-positional valve 10a directs the pressure-fed brake fluid controlled to a specified pressure from the pump to driven wheels, while the 3-positional valve is positionally controlled between a pressure increasing position, a pressure retention position, and a pressure decreasing position, to perform the traction control to a minimum extent necessary for eliminating the driving slip of the wheels.

Here the gain Kn of the one amplifier 37 is changed in accordance with a car speed detection signal from a detector 31. For instance, the gain is set so as to proportionally increase in accordance with an increase of a car speed value.
