    • PURPOSE:To provide the subject apparatus which does not require such a material quality or structure as to withstand high temp. by introducing an air-supply tube through an opening of a small lid installed on an over lid and blowing air into a riser through the tip of the air-supply tube. CONSTITUTION:A traveling apparatus 16 is stopped at the position of a riser 2 which is to be cleaned of adherent carbon; a small lid 7 on an oven lid 16 is opened; a fluid cylinder 11 is operated to introduce an air-supply tube 10 through the opening of the small lid 7; when the tip of the tube 10 reaches below the riser 2, the tube 10 is stopped by a limit switch not shown in the figure; and after opening the upper of the riser 2, a blower 12 is operated to blow air through a nozzle 17 equipped at the tip of the tube 10 into a base part 3 of the riser 2. After air has been supplied for a specified time to burn and remove the adherent carbon, the blower 12 is stopped, the upper opening of the riser 2 is closed, and the fluid cylinder 11 is operated inversely to pull out tube 10 through the opening of the small lid 7.

    • PURPOSE:To remove the preceding conveyed raw material accumulated in an accumulating part without labor at the switching time of conveyed raw material so as to prevent different kinds of raw material from being intermixed. CONSTITUTION:A belt conveyor 2 for performing the switching conveyance of multiple kinds of bulk raw material including high abrasive material is provided with a shoot 1 at its head part. This shoot 1 is provided with an accumulating part 5 for accumulating conveyed raw material, at a lower part in front of a conveyor head part pulley 3. The accumulating part 5 is provided with contact plates 7, 13 disposed opposedly to the head part pulley 3 in such a way as to be movable forward/backward. These contact plates 7, 13 are moved backward at the raw material conveying time so as to accumulate the conveyed raw material 21 in the accumulating part and moved forward at the raw material switching time so as to remove the preceding conveyed raw material accumulated in the accumulating part 5. This prevents the intermixture of foreign material at the following raw material conveying time.

For the control of the dissolved oxygen, it is desirable to use simultaneously oxidation-reduction potential and pH as the measure for the operation. By this way, treatment of waste liquid of high ammonia concn. is possible without dilution.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the corrosion of a distilling column of benzene, by measuring a corrosion rate with corrosion rate monitoring meters mounted on the concentrating plates in the distilling column continuously to remove the accumulated and concentrated corrosive components. CONSTITUTION:Corrosion rate monitoring meters 10 are mounted on desired concentrating plates 9 of a distilling column 4 of benzene[for recovering the benzene in coke oven gas (COG) generated from a coke oven], and taking out pipes 11 are mounted on the respective concentrating plates 9 to open the taking out pipes 11 on the basis of the corrosion rate sensed by the monitoring meters 10. Thus, the concentrated corrosive components are removed from the concentrating plates 9 to carry out the anticorrosion of the distilling column 4 for the benzene. Stainless steel wires of the corrosion rate monitoring meters are inserted in the concentrating plates 9 to measure the corrosion rate by the change in the electrical resistance due to the corrosion of the wires. The corrosion in the concentrating plates 9 can be kept at its minimum by taking out the corrosive components suitably based on the corrosion rate, and the breakage and damage of the distilling column 4 can be prevented.
