    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent vibration and noise from increasing at a time of abnormality of a sensor for detecting a vibration state of an engine and controlling operation of an active vibration control supporting device.
      SOLUTION: An actuator of the active vibration control supporting device is periodically driven to expand and contract to suppress transmission of vibration based on an output of a crank pulse sensor and a TDC pulse sensor for detecting the vibration state of the engine. When a fluctuation amount of VAPP (engine vibration) calculated based on the output of the sensors exceeds a reference value, and the fluctuation amount of engine speed at the time is within the range between the lower limit value and the upper limit value, it is determined that there is an abnormality in the sensor and the operation of the actuator of the active vibration control supporting device is prohibited. Therefore, increase in vibration and noise can be prevented, caused by the active vibration control supporting device being inappropriately controlled in a state in which the vibration state of the engine cannot be detected accurately.
