    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gas safety unit which can be used, as it is, even when it runs away due to dew formation or external noise by resetting a control circuit and writing the initial set values of individual gas safety units and the integrated quantity of used gas, previously recorded in an EEPROM, into the control circuit. SOLUTION: The gas safety unit comprises an EEPROM 5, and a switch 6 for resetting a control circuit 4. When the controller 4 in the gas safety unit runs away due to dew formation or an external noise, the control circuit 4 is actuated by means of the switch 6. Subsequently, the EEPROM read function 9 of the control circuit 4 is actuated through a communication interface 8 to read in the initial set values or the difference of individual gas safety units, disappearing from a memory in the control circuit 4, from the EEPROM 5. Furthermore, integrated values are inputted from an integrated value display section 10 to the control circuit 4 through the communication interface 8.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure gas flow by confirming an unused status of gas with a shutoff valve in a gas passage closed to set a measurement value at this time at a zero point. SOLUTION: A drive circuit 6 for a shutoff valve 7 received a signal from a control circuit 4, closes the shutoff valve 7. The control circuit 4 monitors gas pressure on a downstream from a passage 2 with a pressure sensor 8 to judge that an no gas flows when the pressure is constant during a predetermined period. A zero-point of a gas safety device can be compensated by setting the gas pressure at this time as a zero point of gas flow measured with an ultrasonic sensor 1 in the case of gas unused in the control circuit 4. The zero-point is periodically compensated but can be done when the gas is not frequently used by a gas user by learning control. Also, leakage of gas piping or user of a gas appliance can be considered when the gas pressure on the downstream side rapidly drops during compensating the zero-point, and then the compensating zero-point is interrupted.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring circuit, for the gas pressure of a gas safety device, by which a pressure drop in the gas pressure can be judged correctly even when a noise in a pressure sensor is not removed. SOLUTION: A pressure-drop judgment part 3, to which the analog signal of a pressure sensor 1 is input, compares the analog signal with a prescribed value by using an analog comparator, and it outputs a pressure drop signal to a pressure-drop and malfunction prevention part 4 when the signal is at a prescribed value or lower. When the pressure drop signal 7 is input, the pressure-drop and malfunction prevention part 4 outputs a present-pressure-value request 9 to a pressure-value measuring part 2 so as to request the present pressure value of a gas pressure. The pressure-value measuring part 2 deals with the request, and it measures the gas pressure so as to output a present pressure value 10. The pressure-drop and malfunction prevention part 4 compares the present pressure value 10 with a prescribed value so as to confirm the judgment result of the pressure-drop judgment part 3, and it outputs a pressure drop signal 7 to a control part 5 only when the result can be confirmed.

    • PURPOSE: To reduce a current consumption and to simultaneously stabilize the voltage of a supply power source for a long period by supplying power to meet the timing of detecting a pressure by a control circuit and so controlling as to increase the number of times of pressure detections by a threshold value discriminator. CONSTITUTION: A sensor input and output device holds the power source voltage of a pressure sensor 1 and a threshold value discriminator 3 supplied with power from a constant-voltage circuit 6 by the voltage stabilizing operation of the circuit 6 and the reference voltage of an A-D converter 2 constant to eliminate the influence of the voltage change of a battery by using for a long period and the voltage change at the time of loading of operating a shut-off valve. A control circuit 5 switches a power source switching circuit 4 to meet the timing for inputting a pressure value, intermittently operates the sensor 1, the discriminator 3 and the converter 2 to reduce the current consumption per time mean. The circuit 5 measures by the discriminator 3 having low current consumption in the case of monitoring the specific pressure such as high or lower voltage of high measuring frequency, and reduces the current consumption by decreasing the measuring frequency by the converter 2 having much current consumption.
