    • PURPOSE:To perform safe operation by reducing vibration even when the supply amount of an object to be ground is little and to enhance the response of the amount of a product at the time of a sudden change in the supply amount. CONSTITUTION:The object 2 to be ground supplied to a table 9 is dried by the hot air blown up around the table 9 rotating around a drive shaft and finely ground by the table 9 and a plurality of the rollers 10 rotating while pressing the upper surface of the table 9 and, if the supply amount of the object 2 to be ground is little when the finely ground object 2 is guided to the outside of a roller mill from the outlet provided to the upper part of the roller mill by hot air, outlet temp. 8 is lowered and the moisture of the object 2 to be ground on the table 9 is increased to lower the grinding properties of the object 2 to be ground and the layer of the object 2 to be ground between the rollers 10 and the table 9 is made thick not only to reduce vibration but also to increase the holding amount in the mill. When the supply amount of the object to be ground is much, the outlet temp. is made high and the grinding properties of the object to be ground is improved to reduce the holding amount in the mill and the change of the holding amounts in the mill at the times when the supply amount is little and much is reduced to enhance the response of product quantity to the change of the supply amount.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the explosion of powdered coal by lowering the concn. of oxygen in a coal pulverizer by providing a drain separator separating the drain contained in inert steam and a drain trap to the charging route of inert steam to a coal pulverizer., and mounting a drain discharge route discharging drain. CONSTITUTION:At the time of the usual operation of a coal pulverizer 2, an inert steam valve 8 is closed so as to prevent inert steam from entering the hot air charged to the coal pulverizer 2 from a hot air duct. The drain in the inert steam adjusted to predetermined pressure and lowered temp. by a pressure reducing valve 4, and a temp. lowering device 5 is always separated and removed by a drain trap 6 so that the inert steam is immediately charged when the inert steam valve 8 is opened in this state and the separated and removed drain is discharged as it is. At the time of the temporary stop of the coal pulverizer 2, the drain discharge valve 7 bypassing the drain trap 6 is opened, before the inert steam valve 8 is opened and the drain in the steam present on the upstream side of the inert steam valve 8 is perfectly discharged. By this method, the damage of a cast part is certainly prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate the entry of ash into a jet pulsation pump and as well as suppress the fluctuation of the density of slurry by a method wherein the sum of the volume of the cooling feed water and of the jetting water to be supplied to a clinker hopper is kept larger than the volume to be sucked by said jet pulsation pump. CONSTITUTION:The hopper 1, which is connected to the furnace bottom tube of a boiler, is water-sealed by immersing a sealing plate 10 fixed at the lower part of said tube into the cooling feed water 9 stored in a sealing trough 8 and, after that, said water 9 is uniformly led into the hopper 1 along the whole periphery of the hopper 1. Then, the water 9 is discharged from a water intake port 11 through an overflow pipe 12 in order to maintain the temperature of the water within the hopper 1 at the fixed value. In order to discharge ash, the jet pulsation pump 6 and a clinker crusher 7 are put into operation. Henceforth a gate 3 is open and then water is jetted from nozzles 14 under the controlled conditions that the sum of the volume of the water jetted from the nozzles 14 and of the cooling feed water 9 is rendered to be slightly larger than the volume to be sucked by the pump 6.

    • PURPOSE:To accomplish automatic operation of the hopper such as a clinker hopper disposed at the bottom of a furnace, by providing a transmitter and a receiver at a lower portion of the hopper in the manner that they face toward each other, and starting ash discharging operation when a signal from the transmitter is received by the receiver. CONSTITUTION:The clinker hopper disposed at the bottom of the furnace is filled with water to a reference level 11, and ash 10 accumulated inside the side wall 1 of the hopper is carried into a clinker crusher 5 via a through-gate 2 opened and closed by a cylinder 4 and an enclosure 3. In the crusher 5, the ash is crushed into pieces, which are then drawn out by a jet pump 7 and carried via transport pipe 6 to an ash discharging station. In the above arrangement, a transmitter 12 is fixed to the side wall 1 at a portion thereof facing the opening 9 which is opened and closed by the gate 2, and a receiver 13 is fixed to the inner wall of the enclosure 3 in the manner that it face the transmitter 12. In discharging ash, it is known that the discharging of ash has been completed, when a signal from the transmitter 12 is received by the receiver 13.
