CONSTITUTION:In the photocomposing of a sheet of music, the program of the format of the music is read from an external memory apparatus 12 to be stored in an internal memory apparatus 13. Continuously, the staff start position of a first stage, the length L of the staff, the pitch P'' between staffs and the number of stages etc. are inputted from a keyboard part 11 and, thereafter, the order of a rule is performed and a matrix 5 having a line thickness corresponding to a composing is selected from a dial 3 to be matched with the position of a projection opening part 4 and the composing button of a keyboard part 11 is subsequently pushed. A magazine drum 8 is moved to the staff start position of the first stage and five rules are composed to complete the first stage. Next, the interval P' between stages is calculated by a control part 10 and the drum 8 is moved to the staff start position 22 of a second stage and, hereinafter, the same operation is continuously performed. Therefore, the correspondence to the size of the composing or the change of a ratio can be performed easily on the basis of a simple parameter.

Accordingly, since the typesetting is executed by executing the numerical value conversion between the set unit and the unit of the system, a numerical value of the set unit can be inputted and displayed easily.

    • PURPOSE:To enable display of output on recording paper with a comparatively simple mechanism by arranging the second travel lens in the same optical path as that of the first travel lens which focuses a character image on printing paper, and guiding the character image focused by the second travel lens to an ink mist recording head to convert the character image to an ink image. CONSTITUTION:If characters are selected from a character disk 2, a light is projected from a light source 1, and then is allowed to enter the first travel lens 5 passing through a lens system 3. After this, an optical image reflected by a 90 deg. mirror forms on printing paper 6. The light travelling straight through the mirror of the first travel lens 5 is allowed to enter the second travel lens 9, then finds its way through an ink mist recording head 11. There an optical character image is converted to an ion stream and the ink mist is allowed to stick to recording paper 10a as an ink image by the ion stream. If this technique is employed, it is possible to record and display data on the recording paper 10a directly using the ink mist recording head 11 without the use of a TV camera or a CRT, in addition to recording to the printing paper 6.

CONSTITUTION:An operator sets a 'confirmation striking key' from a command input section 31 after circumferential composition just setting processing, an 'A' image is selected from a dial 37, phototype setting is performed from the command input section, and the 'A' image is taken in from a camera 49 at the first position of just distribution, replaced with a temporary phototype setting character 13A, and displayed on a CRT 51. The inclination of the character is corrected and turned so as to be directed toward the center of a circle by a prism 48 for rotating the image in said 'A' image at that time. Likewise, phototype setting for confirmation is executed up to 'B-E'. Consequently, the same image as main phototype setting can be produced onto the CRT after 'confirmation striking'. When the image is made sure on the CRT 51 and does not get trouble, main phototype setting is conducted. Accordingly, the image of main phototype setting can be confirmed previously, and is made sure again and can be corrected when there is trouble.

Then an area producing part 7 is actuated to decide an area where the forme processing should be carried out for the original data. Then this decided area is displayed on a display device 2. Then a data analysis part 10 is actuated and the original data is supplied from a text data storing part 9. Thus the forme processing is carried out in the area decided by an area producing part 8. In such a case, the part 10 refers to a pitch table 14 based on the style of type and the character code used presently for forme. Thus the pitch value of the corresponding character is obtained and the forme processing is carried out by this pitch value.
