    • PURPOSE:To obtain an ultramicroscopic capacitor element by a method wherein the electron transferring complex, formed by connecting the first and the second electron transferring protein having different redox potential, is arranged in such a manner that its electron transferring path will be positioned in parallel to a pair of opposingly provided electrodes. CONSTITUTION:The electron transferring complex 3, consisting of cytochrome c1 and flavodoxin 2, is arranged between opposingly provided electrodes 4a and 4b in such a manner that its electron transferring path 3a will be in parallel to the electrodes 4a and 4b. To be more precise, as the electron transferring complex 3 is arranged in such a manner that its electron transferring path 3a is positioned vertical to the vector direction of the applied electric field, no current runs at all on said electron transferring complex 3. As a result, the electron transferring complex 3 functions as a dielectric, and a capacitor element, to be used for the bioelectric element circuit composed of the rectification element, wherein electron transferring protein is used, a switching element and the like, can be obtained using electron transferring protein.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the highly integrated three-dimensional bioelectric circuit by a method wherein a plurality of bioelectric element layers constituted using the forming method of metal wiring pattern same as that of a semiconductor integrated circuit are stacked in multilayers through the intermediary of an insulating layer. CONSTITUTION:Metal electrodes 2, 5 and 7 are formed by drawing a pattern on a metal in a plurality of parallel lines by a CVD method using a mask formed by exposure to an energy beam, or using a molecular beam, an ion beam or a laser beam. Each electron transferring protein such as the first-third electron transferring protein films 3, 4, 6 and the like consisting of flavodoxin, cytochrome c and flavodoxin, for example, is stacked with a fixed orientational property, a transistor element is constituted as a bioelectric element, and the first bio electric element layer 10 is formed. By constituting said bioelectric element layers 10 and 20 in two layers or in multilayers, the degree of integration of the high densed and high speed bioelectric element circuit having the element of superfine size of molecular level can be improved.

    • PURPOSE:To bring the size of an element close to the superfine size of molecule level by a method wherein the first-the third oxidation-reduction substance films are formed of an oxidation-reduction substance, and a switching element which displays transistor characteristics or switching characteristics is constituted by utilizing the difference in redox potential. CONSTITUTION:A neutral lead film 3, which is an oxidation-reduction substance, is formed on a substrate 1 covering electrodes 2a-2c. Then, the first and the third neutral red films 3a and 3c are formed on the electrodes 2a and 2c by removing the part where the electrode 2b is covered by the film 3 by an ion sputtering method and the like. Lastly, the second toluidine blue film 4 is formed by adhering to the third neutral red films 3a and 3c, and a switching element is obtained. Then, a fixed negative voltage V2 is applied between the electrodes 2a and 2c, and when the fixed negative voltage Vl running between the electrodes 2a and 2c is turned ON or OFF, the current running between the electrodes 2a and 2c can be turned ON or OFF.
