    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a luminance signal chrominance signal separation circuit where no dot disturbance takes place even when a color transient is laterally in existence or chrominance signals are changed between lines. SOLUTION: This luminance signal chrominance signal separation circuit is provided with a color signal extract filter 101 with a variable pass band that extracts a chrominance signal from a composite video signal v, a luminance signal extraction filter 701 that subtracts a color output from the signal (v) to obtain a luminance output, a longitudinal dot frequency component extract filter 201 that extracts a longitudinal dot component around 1/2 of a line correlation frequency and around 2/3 of a chrominance carrier frequency from the signal (v), a nonlinear lateral dot frequency component extract filter 301 that extracts a lateral dot component around 1/4 of the line correlation frequency and around the chrominance carrier frequency from the signal (v), a reference signal extract device 501 that extracts a prescribed frequency component of the signal (v), and a comparator 601 that obtains a comparison output between the longitudinal dot component and the reference component. When this comparison output includes many of the longitudinal dot components, the pass band of the chrominance signal extract filter 101 is switched to include the longitudinal dot frequency region.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scan converter device in which a jitter is difficult to become visible even when a horizontal synchronizing signal and a clock are asynchronous by obtaining a time difference between the horizontal synchronous signal and a clock and correcting an amplitude in accordance with a time shift by straight line interpolating the time difference from inclination of a horizontal delayer output. SOLUTION: An interpolation means 110 receives a signal from a time difference generation means 100 for obtaining a time difference between a clock by a first clock surface 30 and a horizontal synchronizing signal by a first horizontal synchronizing signal generation means 40 and is outputted to a line memory 70. A time difference detection means output of the time difference generation means 100 is delayed by a compensation delay time by a delay means and is outputted. Thus, the time difference between a CLW and a HSW to be used at the interpolation means 110 is obtained. Since the interpolation means 110 output to be inputted to the line memory 70 is amplitude corrected in accordance with a time shift, a jitter component can be reduced in a signal read out by the line memory 70.
