    • PURPOSE:To obtain a highly durable and efficient selective absorption surface at a low cost, by bonding a metal foil having a low emissivity over the surface of a base or support, and applying a paint consisting principally of a black pigment and a binder of an acrylic resin over the surface of the metal foil. CONSTITUTION:A metal foil 3 of aluminum, copper or the like, having an emissivity lower than 0.1 is bonded to the surface of an inexpensive base or support 1 (for instance, galvanized steel plate) having a high emissivity by the intermediary of an adhesive layer 2, and a film 4 having a thickness smaller than 5mum is formed over the surface of the metal foil 3 by coating a paint consisting principally of a black pigment A and a binder B of an acrylic resin. Here, more than one oxides or composite oxides of elements selected from Fe, Mn, Cu, Cr, Co and Ni are used for the black pigment A. In general, it is preferable to select the ratio of the weight of the pigment A to that of the resin B at a value within the range of 0.2-0.5, and a value near 0.3 is most preferable. By coating the paint thus obtained over the surface of the metal foil 3 having a low emissivity to have a thickness smaller than 5mum, it is enabled to obtain a selective absorption surface having 0.93-0.95 of solar heat absorptivity and 0.40-0.50 of heat emissivity.

    • PURPOSE: To obtain a film which is excellent in solar energy selective absorbability.
      CONSTITUTION: A film B is adhered to the surface of a support A, e.g., a metal, synthetic resin, glass plate, etc. The film B contains at least 5wt% or more film metal powder subjected to a blackening surface treatment, or a selective absorptive material C, together with auxiliary additives E, e.g., a binder D, a filler, a dispersant, a stabilizer, etc. When being exposed to sunshine, solar energy is absorbed by a pigment C in the surface of the support A and converted into heat which is in turn transmitted to a medium, e.g., water, etc., on the back (b) side of the support A until a certain temperature is reached under steady condition. As a result, since the heat escapes by radiation from the surface of the film B side, mostly from the pigment C-oriented surface as shown by (c), the loss of radiation can be lessened.
