摘要： PURPOSE:To attain a good contact between a head and a film by placing the abutting section of the supporter to the film behind the magnetic head rather than at the gap of the head. CONSTITUTION:Rollers 601 and 602 are placed against a magnetic head 101 and rotate in accordance with the traveling of a film F. However the contacting position to the film F is placed behind the head 101 rather than at the gap located at the tip of the head 101. Having this configuration, the film F, which is held between the two rollers 601 and 602 and the head 101, is slightly deformed, moves along the surface of the head 101 and keeps a contact by the elasticity of the film F while it moves. Therefore, a proper head touching pressure is obtained. Since the film F moves along the curved surface of the head, no separation between the gap and the magnetic surface occurs even when the gap position shifts forward or backwards.

By this method, the magnetic disk having superior in charge characteristic, improved in frequency characteristic from a high band to a low band in good balance and having superior in electromagnetic transducing characteristic can thus be obtained.

Thereby, packing density of the metal magnetic powder is improved, which improves electromagnetic conversion characteristics. Thereby, the magnetic layer 24 has enough wear resistance, durability, and higher mechanical strength.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic disk having high packing density of meal magnetic powder, good dispersion state, high output, low noise, high durability and little dropout by successively forming a conductive layer containing carbon black and a magnetic layer containing metal magnetic powder on a nonmagnetic supporting body in this order. CONSTITUTION:A coating material containing carbon black and a coating material containing metal magnetic powder are successively applied in this order on a nonmagnetic supporting body 1 with an extrusion coater to form the conductive layer 2 and the magnetic layer 4. respectively. In this procedure, the coating material for the magnetic layer 4 is applied while the coating material of conductive layer 2 is not dried. By this method, surface electric resistance of the magnetic layer 4 is enough reduced to prevent noise and dropout. Moreover, the obtd. magnetic layer 4 is excellent in high-density recording because of improved packing density and dispersion state of metal magnetic powder, and show high output and low noise. The obtd. medium is free from peeling since adhesion property of the two layers is enough and thus, durability of the medium is improved.
