摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an operational trouble by using expansive graphite in a part of or on the whole of the carbon aceous material in the mold powder for the continuous casting of steel to improve the stability of the molten slag speed of the mold powder. SOLUTION: This mold powder for continuous casting contains the base material, silica, flux and carbon, and expansive graphite is used for a part of or the whole part of the raw material of carbon. The mold powdery or granular, the stability of the molten slag speed is improved by adding and blending expansive graphite, and variance in the thickness of the molten powder slag layer is eliminated. In particular, even in an abnormal condition such as occurrence of boiling, eccentric flow, or biased flow, the stable molten slag behavior is obtained.

摘要： PURPOSE:To efficiently remove impurities in molten steel such as Al2O3 or SiO2, by using a calcareous filter having a porous structure formed by using limestone or dolomite as a stock material. CONSTITUTION:Refractory having 100pts.wt. of limestone or dolomite with a particle size of 0.3mm or less and 0.1-20pts.wt. of an org. compound or halogen compound of an alkali metal added thereto is formed into a slip 1 which is, in turn, flowed in the gaps of an org. aggregate wherein the surfaces of spheres made of an org. resin such as foamed ruethane beads 2 are mutually contacted and, after drying, the whole is baked at 1,000 deg.C or more. By this method, the org. resin is removed and CO2 of limestone or dolomite is released to form a CaO filter. The addition amount of the binder at the time of molding is set to 0.1-20pts.wt. and the org. beads 2 pref. have a diameter of 0.1-80mm and the viscosity of the slip 1 is set to 10-500 poise. The skeletal 3 of the prepared filter has voids 4 with a size of 10mum or less.
