    • PURPOSE:To make exhaust gas treatment equipment, etc., unnecessary by directly atomizing slurry raw material powder into a furnace from an atomizer arranged at the furnace top, drying, and collecting dust in the exhaust gas into the raw material powder by adsorption and reusing. CONSTITUTION:The slurry raw material powder produced at the other section is concentrated through a thicker 5 and a decanter 6 and atomized in the furnace by an atomizer 2 arranged at the furnace top of the vertical type smelting reduction furnace 1. The atomized slurry raw material powder is heated and dried with the high temp. exhaust gas in the furnace to be made into the dried raw material powder and the dust in the exhaust gas is absorbed and a part thereof is dropped in the furnace. The other large part of the raw material powder is discharged into a cyclone 7 together with the exhaust gas, and mixed material of the dried raw material powder and the dust in the exhaust gas piled and collected in the bottom part thereof are charged into a storing vessel 8. The mixed material in the storing vessel 8 is further injected into the furnace from a tuyere 3 through a uniform discharge pressure hopper 9 and an injection tank 10 and reused. By this method, the maintenance operating cost of the equipment and conveying cost of the recovery dust, etc., can be reduced.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict the discharging of harmful substances such as dioxine or the like and to enable the effective utilization of energy by adding slaked lime to an urban waste, drying the waste such that the moisture percentage becomes not more than a given level, and burning the waste by a combustion boiler. SOLUTION: In a method for burning a so-called urban waste containing a raw refuse without forming the refuse into a solid fuel, slaked lime is added to the urban waste and is dried until the moisture percentage becomes not more than 10% by weight. The urban waste under such condition is called as a dried fluff and has a high calorific value of 3,500-4,000 kcal/h and this value is stable for a long time. To lower the moisture percentage not more than 10% by weight, an indirect heating method using steam is adopted, wherein the urban waste is dried for approximately one hour at a temperature of 120 deg.C. Furthermore, an amount of addition of slaked lime may be usually approximately 1-2% by weight for the urban waste. This fluff is effective to the reduction of dioxine at the time of combustion which requires a low moisture content and a uniformity. Furthermore, to make use of heat energy of an exhaust gas generated by the combustion boiler, the recovery of the steam and power generation are performed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a continuous operation of an incinerator and to suppress a discharge of a harmful material by providing the first stage in which the waste such as city waste is crushed and screened, slaked lime is added, and the mixture is dried to form a powdery particle and the second stage in which the powdery particle is burned to generate steam and utilizing a part of the generated steam as a heat source for drying. SOLUTION: The city waste 1 is crushed by a crushing/screening machine 2 to screen and remove metals 3 such as iron, aluminum, etc., then the slaked lime supplied from an addition device 31 is added and dried with a drying device 5 to form the dried powdery particle 6 hardly causing putrefaction and malodor, and the particle 6 is stored in a storage tank 7. Then the particle 6 is burned in a combustion furnace 8 and the steam is generated in a boiler 10 by this combustion gas. A waste gas 15 is discharged to atmosphere after being treated at a waste gas treating stage 11. The generated steam 12 is used for an electricity generation and other heat utilization at a steam utilizing device 13 and also a part of the steam 21 is used as a drying heat source of the drying device 5, and the waste gas 22 of the drying device 5 is burned in the boiler 10 to deodorize and detoxicate.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fully utilize the drying function of garbage or industrial waste and at the same time minimize a load for repairing and maintaining a drying device by adding a wall surface adhesion prevention material to the garbage or the industrial waste when indirectly heating and drying the garbage or the industrial waste. SOLUTION: Municipal garbage that is received by an upstream process and is crushed by a biaxial crushing machine is stored in a crushed object hopper 1 as crushed garbage 1, and then the crushed garbage 11 is fed into the drying container of an indirect-heating-type steam drying machine 3 via a fixed-amount supply equipment 2 that is attached to the crushed object hopper 1. In this case, a material 12 for preventing adhesion onto a wall surface is supplied to the crushed object hopper 1. For example, industrial slaked lime is used as the material 12 for preventing adhesion onto the wall surface, and the material for preventing adhesion onto the wall surface being stored in a silo is cut by a fixed amount using a rotary valve and is sent into the crushed object hopper 1 via a conduit with compression air being discharged from a blower for discharging the agent for preventing adhesion onto the wall surface.
