    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set image quality by generating a control signal used for dividing horizontal, vertical and time base directions of a pattern so as to select different setting of an image quality setting circuit thereby comparing plural image patterns. SOLUTION: A video signal output device is a device converting a composite video signal and providing an output of the converted signal to a television receiver, a pattern division means 100 divides a pattern in a horizontal or vertical direction for a prescribed period of a horizontal synchronizing signal or a vertical synchronizing signal. Furthermore, an image quality setting means 200 sets at least two kinds of image quality of the pattern. A character superimposing means 300 superimposes character information onto the divided pattern. A selection means 400 selects the image quality of the divided patterns. A control means 500 confirms the selected pattern setting and controls the entire pattern to have the selected image quality setting again. In this case, a control signal used to divide a time base direction in a horizontal or vertical direction of the pattern is generated based on a horizontal synchronizing signal or a vertical synchronizing signal to select the image quality setting of the image quality setting circuit.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in picture quality due to dropout compensation in a reproduced video image. CONSTITUTION:When a dropout detection circuit 5 does not detect any dropout, a luminance signal demodulated by an FM demodulation circuit 9 is clamped at a clamp circuit 15 based on a clamp pulse via a clamp switch 8 from a pulse generating circuit 7 and fed to a reproduction processing circuit 20 via a dropout compensation switch 18 thrown to the position (a). When the dropout detection circuit 5 detects a dropout, the clamp switch 8 is thrown not to supply the clamp pulse to the clamp circuit 15, and the dropout compensation switch 18 selects a 1H delay luminance signal processed by a 1H delay element 19 and a clamp circuit 17 and the selected signal is fed to the reproduction processing circuit 20. Furthermore, the luminance signal from the FM demodulation circuit 9 is not clamped by the clamp circuit 15 and fed to the dropout compensation switch 18.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the number of pins providing a capacitor for clamp to be one by forming a peak clamp circuit to be a feedback type. CONSTITUTION:A video signal is supplied from an input terminal 1 to a differential amplifier 2 composed of transistors 28 and 29 and in a comparator circuit 4, the output signal of the differential amplifier 2 is compared with a reference voltage 3 for clamp. In a clamp capacitor 7, the output current of the comparator circuit 4 is converted to a voltage and held. In an inverted amplifier 8, the voltage held in the clamp capacitor 7 is inverted and the output voltage of the inverted amplifier 8 is supplied to the transistor 29 constituting the differential amplifier 2. Then, a clamp output is taken out from the output of the differential amplifier 2. Thus, the number of IC pin terminals for connecting the clamp capacitor 7 can be reduced to be one and even when using a power source which power supply voltage is low and stability is lacked, a feedback type peak clamp circuit, which is not affected by the fluctuation of the power supply voltage, can be obtained with a sufficiently wide dynamic range.

    • PURPOSE:To use an image pickup lens for a projecting lens in combination to use an image pickup light as a projecting light source in combination to reduce the number of components, to make the title device smaller and less expensive by integrating an image pickup-recording/reproducing unit with a copying unit. CONSTITUTION:In a recording/reproducing device 16, a video camera consisting of a lens system 2, an image pickup element 4, a preamplifier 5 and a camera signal processing circuit 6 and a recording/reproducing part 10 are integrated into the image pickup-recording/reproducing device. A projecting unit consisting of a liquid crystal driving circuit 11, a liquid crystal panel 12, a Fresnel lens 13, a light source 14 and a reflecting mirror 15 are provided in the recording/ reproducing device. The lens system 2 of the device 16 is used for the projecting lens of the projecting unit as well, a half mirror 3 is provided between the lens system 2 and the image pickup element 4, the light path of the video camera and the projecting unit is specified, the combined use of the photographing light for the projecting light source is attained, the number of the components is reduced, and the device is made smaller and less expansive.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress an interference tone and to receive only a sound near an object to be desired to receive by causing >=3 microphones, at least, to face to a sound source, arranging them so that a distance between the respective microphones and the sound source can be different, respectively weighting outputs from these microphones, after that, adding the outputs and taking out them. CONSTITUTION:Since a distance L between a main sound source 2 and a microphone device 1 is enough large generally in comparison with sizes DY and DZ of the microphone device 1, a signal from the main sound source 2 can be regarded as a plain wave. A distance l between a noise source 3 and the microphone device 1 is not enough large in comparison with the sizes DY and DZ of the microphone device 1, a signal from the noise source 3 can be regarded as a spherical wave. Accordingly, for the signal from the noise source 3, phase difference is generated by difference l between a distance l to a microphone element to be arranged at a coordinate (YO, ZO) and a distance l' to the microphone element to be arranged at a coordinate (Yi, Zj). Thus, by wholly adding the signals from an nY X nZ-number of microphone elements of the microphone device 1, the signal of the noise source 3 can be suppressed.
