    • PURPOSE:To simplify the unit and to make the unit longer in life, by specifying the construction of slider of magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:The shape of the slider 8 of the magnetic head 2 is made to wedge shape, and the pressure increase plate 7 is provided at the upper (back side) side. Thus, when the magnetic disc 1 is turned with the drive motor via the belt 4 and spindle 3, the air flow produced touches the pressure increase plate 7 and the slider 8, the slider 8 is depressed to the side of the magnetic disc 1, and the magnetic head 2 performs write-in and readout of information while keeping floating condition in a given fine distance to the magnetic disc 1 with a given number of revolutions. Accordingly, the magnetic head 2 and the magnetic disc 1 are not contacted to prevent the mutual wear and damage due to contact. Since no fast start and fast stop are required as in the contact start stop system, the drive motor is made smaller and the fast stop brake set is made unnecessary.

    • PURPOSE:To improve responsiveness without increasing the mass and the moment of inertia of an actuator part by forming the shape of a rotary head arm on whose one end a magnetic head is mounted via a load spring and a gimbal spring sequentially so that rigidity at the upstream side of a wind flow can be set higher compared with the rigidity at the downstream side asymmetrically. CONSTITUTION:The head arm 8 is mounted via the load spring 7 and the gimbal spring 6 sequentially on one end, and the magnetic head 5 is mounted on the central axis 15 of the arm 8. The positioning of the head 5 in a prescribed data area on a magnetic disk 1 is performed by an actuator mechanism by turning the arm 8. A read/write IC16 is mounted on the arm 8 at the downstream side from the central axis 15 for an air flow generated by the revolution of the disk 1, and also, a punch hole 18 is provided at the side nearer to the downstream for the central axis 15, and the width of a joist at the upstream side is set larger than that of the joist at the downstream, which makes asymmetric shape, and the rigidity at the upstream side is set higher than the rigidity at the downstream side.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress mechanical vibration of the title device and thermal off-track and to facilitate the manufacturing by equalizing bearings for supporting an actuator oscillating part to a hollow structure body in their ther mal expansion coefficients and providing a radial pre-load material between an axis body and said bearings. CONSTITUTION:When a voice-coil motor of the magnetic disk device is driven, a magnet circuit is formed between a coil bobbin 7 and a magnet 8, and the actuator oscillating part 4 integrated with the bobbin 7 is rotated around the axis body 1 via the bearings 3, and then a magnetic head 6 mounted on the oscillating part 4 is rotated, thus constituting the device. Then, the axis body 1 is supported on its both ends by the hollow structure body 5 with its upper part and lower part, and each thermal expansion coefficient of the axis body 1 and the structure body 5 is equal to each other. In addition, plural bearings 3 are equal in their inner and outer diameters, and moreover, the radial pre-load material 2 is provided to be three point contacts with a fitting part between the inner ring of the bearings 3 and the axis body 1.
