    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress reduction of a recording sensitivity by heat conduction of a thin film by providing, close to a recording thin film, multi-layers of a protection layer having Si, an appropriate oxide, a sulfide, and a nitride as main components. SOLUTION: An information recording thin film 4 is not deformed and shows a change in atom arrangement when irradiated with a recording beam such as a laser light or the like. Heat generated in the information recording thin film 4 when information is recorded by irradiation of the recording beam is diffused by a thin film of a second protection layer 2 having as a main component an oxide, a carbide or a nitride with a high heat conductivity, and shielded by a thin film of a first protection layer 3 having as a main component an oxide or a sulfide with a low heat conductivity. Accordingly, heat conduction to a substrate 1 of a disk which is made of resin or glass and provided with guide grooves is small. In addition, the heat generated by the irradiation of the recording beam is absorbed or diffused by respective thin films having a metal element as a main component, whereby heat conduction to a resin to be used for adhering the disk is small. Furthermore, the number of pinholes is reduced, resistance against a stress generated when erasing the recorded information is enhanced, and the resin exhibits no deformation or changes in quality.
