    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil device for an internal combustion engine, having simple construction for reducing man-hours for assembly. SOLUTION: The ignition coil device comprises an ignition coil part, and an ignition plug to which high voltage is applied from the ignition coil part via a conduction part. The conduction part consists of, at least, a first spring on the side of the ignition coil part electrically connected thereto, a noise preventing resistance and a second spring on the side of the ignition plug, all of which are arranged in an insulating pipe. A connection member is laid between the noise preventing resistance and the second spring and fixed to the insulating pipe. The connection member has a first recessed part which is located at the end on the side of the noise preventing resistance and on which one electrode of the noise preventing resistance abuts to be pressed therein, and a second recessed part which is located at the end on the side of the second spring and in which one end of the second spring is stored.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil for internal combustion engine wherein an ignition coil side high pressure output terminal of a connection portion between a spring and the ignition coil side high voltage output terminal has high durability against deterioration in insulation due to corona discharge, since, in a plug top type ignition coil, an inner surface of a high voltage end portion (a side of disposing a spring) of a coil case is corona-deteriorated by the spring which electrically connects high voltage, thus deteriorating insulation reliability. SOLUTION: A cylindrical portion made of a material superior in corona deterioration durability than the high voltage tower, which covers the periphery of at least one of the ignition coil side high voltage output terminal and the connection portion between the spring and the ignition coil side high voltage output terminal, is provided.
