    • PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of a controller by controlling the terminal voltage and frequency of an induction generator to predetermined values by the use of a regenerative inverter for regenerating the secondary power of the induction generator to the primary side of the induction generator. CONSTITUTION:A generator has a secondary current controller for full-wave rectifying the secondary current of an induction generator 1 and regulating the secondary current corresponding to the load of the induction generator 1 by the operation of a DC chopper 20 for short-circuiting to turn OFF the output side, and a controller 22 for controlling the terminal voltage and frequency of the induction generator 1 to predetermined values by a regenerative inverter 21 for regenerating the secondary power of the induction generator 1 to the primary side of the induction generator 1. Thus, the capacity of the regenerative inverter 21 is proportional to the secondary power, its capacity can be set to 1/several of the generated power, the element of the DC chopper 20 may be one to largely reduce the capacity of the controller.

    • PURPOSE:To improve maintainability and controllability, by employing superconducting field winding in a synchronous machine and feeding current through a rotary transformer therefor. CONSTITUTION:A rotor having a magnetic pole 7 is provided inside of the stator 8 of generator, and a yoke 9 is provided on the outer circumference of a shaft 11. A field winding 10 composed of wound hollow superconductor internally cooled with liquid nitrogen is fixed to the pole 7. The field winding 10 is coupled through a superconducting lead 12 with a superconducting rotor side transformer coil 5, and a core 3 is arranged at the stator side while facing a stator transformer coil 2 so as to form a magnetic path. The coil 2 is coupled with a static exciter 1. Consequently, stator side current is not required to be coupled with rotor side current through a brush or the like, and current in the field winding 10 can be controlled through coupling of flux of superconducting coil.

    • PURPOSE:To make superconducting turbine generator compact, by placing a normal conducting limit resistor at rotary side, and providing a superconducting generator to be used exclusively for feeding power to the limit resistor upon interruption of load and a superconducting switch for opening/closing the circuit thereof. CONSTITUTION:A power generating system employs a water turbine 8 as a prime mover and a superconducting turbine generator 1 as a driven machine. In the generator 1, a rotor coil and a stator coil consist of a superconducting coil and these superconducting coils are coreless structure. And these coils are magnetically shielded with superconducting member. A field coil 2 and a power generating coil 3 constitute a superconducting generator having a disc rotor coil arrangement for supplying power to a brake resistor 7 only when the load is interrupted. Superconducting members are employed entirely except the brake resistor 7 employing normal conducting resistor. Excessive energy of turbine is converted through the brake resistor 7 into thermal energy so as to suppress over speed and over pressure.
