摘要： PURPOSE:To offer an input device reduced at its loss while securing the reliability of an input signal by turning an input circuit intermittently to an active state with a switching means to be turned on/off at a prescribed duty cycle. CONSTITUTION:The switching means 9 is formed in a loop of the input circuit 1 and is turned on and off by receiving a pulse train having a prescribed duty cycle from a pulse oscillator 10 to turn the input circuit 1 intermittently to an active state so that current (i) flows into the circuit 1 during the ON period of the means 9. When the element 9 is controlled so as to be turned on only for a short period (t) every prescribed period T, heat loss generated in a current limiting resistor 6 can be reduced down to t/T and heat loss due to excess input electric power can be removed, while keeping current flowing through an external switching element 3 at a prescribed level or more required for the current detection of a current detecting means 7. Consequently, the security of reliability of an input signal at the input of a low voltage and the reduction of loss at the input of a high voltage can be attained.
