    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exposure apparatus of a printing plate, which is preferably direct platemaking with easy operation and improving safeness for white light without increasing the running cost even when the apparatus is used for a printing original plate having no oxygen shielding layer to be subjected to formation of a latent image by photopolymerization and then to alkali development.
      SOLUTION: The exposure apparatus for a printing plate is equipped with: an oxygen shielding means to expose while eliminating oxygen in at least the exposed part during at least exposure; and an oxygen shielding period controlling means to control the oxygen shielding period by the above oxygen shielding means. Preferably, the oxygen shielding period controlling means controls the oxygen shielding period in an arbitrary period from a predetermined time prior to the exposure on the printing original plate to a predetermined time after the exposure.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for making a printing plate from a printing original plate by which the entire process can be carried out in a bright room and to provide an exposure apparatus for a printing plate suitably used for carrying out the above method. SOLUTION: The method for making a printing plate is characterized in that the following planographic printing original plate is exposed to light having 250 nm to 420 nm wavelength while eliminating oxygen in at least the exposed part during at least exposure.
