    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of non-contact determination of the internal pressure of a filled and sealed can, which can be conducted simply and in a manner unlikely to cause erroneous determination.SOLUTION: A method of non-contact determination of the internal pressure of a filled and sealed can comprises: a step of setting at least a substantial center point of the bottom face of the can and a reference point at a predetermined distance away from the substantial center point toward circumferential side as measurement points, irradiating a millimeter wave with a frequency of 18 to 94 GHz and an irradiation range diameter of 20 mm or less toward the respective measurement points, and measuring a reflection wave at the respective measurement points; and a step of identifying the displacement amount at the substantial center point of the can from the phases of the reflection wave at the respective measurement points and determining whether the internal pressure of the can is acceptable based on the obtained displacement amount.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a corrupted canned goods surely at the time of sampling test, selection of a concerned lot or selection of all canned goods by comparing an inner pressure read out in read-out process with an inner pressure detected in second inner pressure detection process and making a decision that the canned goods is corrupted if the difference of inner pressure is higher than a predetermined level. SOLUTION: Pressure in a can is detected when retort pasteurization is finished and when a predetermined time elapsed thereafter as a correction inner pressure at a reference temperature. A correction inner pressure detected by a second inner pressure detection means 16 upon elapsing a predetermined time after retort pasteurization matches a correction inner pressure read out by a reader 18 after retort pasteurization for a normal canned goods. In case of a corrupted canned goods, microorganisms grow to produce a gas and the correction inner pressure read out after retort pasteurization differs from the correction inner pressure detected upon elapsing a predetermined time. A comparison/decision circuit 20 compares the correction inner pressure and makes a decision that the objective canned goods is corrupted if the difference of inner pressure is higher than a predetermined level, i.e., a measurement error level.

    • PURPOSE:To accurately detect the content quantity even when the liquid level in a can is fluctuated by binarizing the concentration information near the liquid level at a fixed level, using the average value of the binarized liquid level point data as the virtual liquid level, and judging the adequacy of the liquid level. CONSTITUTION:A can 110 continuously conveyed by a belt conveyor 119 is irradiated by an X-ray-irradiating device 120, the transmitted light is received by an X-ray visible panel 130, and an image is picked up by a CCD camera 122 from the back face of the panel 130 to obtain an X-ray transmission image. The image data of the camera 122 are stored in a frame memory 132 as the scanned line information of the can 110 scanned in the vertical direction at a fixed interval, and the concentration of the image data is binarized 134 for each scanning line. A judging means 126 uses the average value of the binarized point data as the virtual liquid level, judges whether the virtual liquid level exists within the range of the proper liquid level position or not, and excludes 138 the inadequate can 110.

    • PURPOSE:To efficiently and accurately detect the presence or absence of a tab without manual operation by measuring the sound pressure level of vibrational sound generated when the lid of a can to be inspected is forcibly vibrated and comparing a measured value with a reference set value. CONSTITUTION:The lid of a can from which a tab is missed or the lid of the can with the fixedly attached tab is forcibly vibrated by electromagnetic induction effect to generate vibrational sound. Then, a frequency at which the second harmonic of the vibrational sound is generated is measured and the sound pressure levels of the vibrational sounds are measured in a frequency range including said frequency. Then, the sound pressure level is measured in the same manner on the lid of the can to be inspected. A resultant measured value and a reference set value measured and set in advance are compared with each other whereby whether the internal pressure of the can is proper is discriminated.
