    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new liquid fertilizer having phosphorous acid as the component. SOLUTION: An aqueous solution is obtained by mixing 20-40 pts.mass of phosphorous acid and 10 pts.mass of an alkaline compound. Monopotassium phosphate may be added. Since the presence of the alkaline compound results in a greater pH value (i.e. shifted to the alkaline side) of the aqueous solution than that of an aqueous solution of phosphorous acid alone, the aqueous solution dissolves phosphorous acid at a higher concentration than the one containing only phosphorous acid. The solution, therefore, makes a liquid fertilizer containing phosphorous acid at a high concentration. The liquid fertilizer may be used without being diluted or after being diluted e.g. 10-1,000 times. Foliar application and root drench are possible. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rind puffing inhibitor of citrus fruits without containing a micronutrient as an essential component.
      SOLUTION: The rind puffing inhibitor of the citrus fruits comprises potassium secondary phosphate as an active ingredient and is subjected to foliar spraying as an aqueous solution at 100-500 times dilution ratio of the potassium secondary phosphate. When sprayed in the summer and autumn season, the inhibitor is effective for inhibiting the rind puffing of the citrus fruits. Since the active (essential) ingredient is only the potassium secondary phosphate and the micronutrient such as boron which requires to avoid the excess is not the essential ingredient, there is no need of application considering the amount of the micronutrient fertilized (contained in a fertilizer). The inhibitor is a rind puffing inhibitor readily usable by a farmer.
