    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct resolver with higher resolution by deciding an octant value based on sine value and cosine value of a resolver, obtaining tangent value for linearization of the octant value, inverting a linearized value of even numbered octant, and adding the octant value to the linearized value. SOLUTION: A sine signal and a cosine wave signal are generated respectively at stationary secondary coils 14 and 15 of a resolver 10, then, through buffers 20 and 30, differential amplifiers 21 and 31, phase decoders 22 and 32, and filters 23 and 33, converted with A/D converter 24 and 24. A microcomputer 12 compares the sine value and cosine value, then compares polarity and relative magnitude for deciding an octant value. Between the sine value and the cosine value, one with smaller absolute value is divided by one with larger absolute value to obtain a tangent value, and corrected to the close to a linear value against an angle θ with an index table, and an eventual value against the angle θis decided using the octant value. The linear value of even number octant value is inverted, while 3 bit code value of octant taken as highest-order 3 bit, which is added to a linear value as lowest-order bit.

    • PURPOSE: To obtain linearity and low-noise property in a large current by using a multiple power stage current source, wherein sufficient current distribution is performed, independently of circuit characteristics of an amplifier, in a current control loop controlling motor torque. CONSTITUTION: Individual linear current source amplifiers 12, 14, 16 for generating a desired wiring current are installed in stator windings 56A, 56B and 56C of a motor. A current command signal is inputted in an amplifier 24 via a terminal 18, and a feedback signal generated in a resistor 54 is inputted in an adding point 26 via an amplifier 58. The adding point 26 is connected with a bipolar current source switch 30 via an amplifier 28. A current source switch 30 is inserted between a positive voltage source +V and a negative voltage source -V, in series with a resistor 32 and a resistor 34, and generates a current which passes a resistor 32 or a resistor 34, according to the polarity of an error signal, and is proportional to a servo loop error. Respective current followers 36, 38, 40 and 42, 44, 46 supply currents, which are in proportional to the voltage drop applied to an output current bus 60.
