    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyol composition capable of bonding a non-ferrous metal such as aluminum into sufficient strength in the case of using it as an adhesive composition and giving a good working environment, and the adhesive composition by using the same.
      SOLUTION: This polyol composition contains a castor oil-based polyol and a ≥12 total carbon number acidic phosphoric acid ester compound. Also, the adhesive composition contains the castor oil-based polyol and the ≥12 total carbon number acidic phosphoric acid ester compound and a polyisocyanate (crude MDI, etc.). As the acidic phosphoric acid ester compound, compounds obtained by performing the reaction of an epoxidized animal or plant oil and their esters (epoxidized soybean oil methyl, etc.) with phosphoric acids (ortho-phosphoric acid, etc.) are preferable. Further, it is preferable to contain terpenephenols in the polyol composition and the adhesive composition.

      CONSTITUTION: The titled composition is obtained by mixing (A) a polyol component comprising 30W95wt% tert. nitrogen-containing polyol [e.g., N,N,N',N'- tetrakis(2-hydroxypropyl)ethylenediamine] and 70W5wt% other polyols (e.g., glycerin) with (B) a polyisocyanate component comprising 50W100wt% MDI- type polyisocyanate (e.g., diphenylmethane diisocyanate) in such amounts that the equivalent ratio of the isocyanato groups in component B to the total hydroxy groups in component A may be 0.8W1.4 and mixing component A and/or component B with 5W40wt%, based on the total amount of components A and B, phosphorus-containing plasticizer (e.g., tricresyl phosphate).

    • PURPOSE: To provide the titled composition for the coating of metal, etc., containing a volatile neutralized product derived from a specific bisimidazoline compound and an epoxy resin as a main agent, storable stably for a long period, free from the problems of the degradation of the working environment and fire hazards because the composition is based on aqueous system, and having excellent handleability because it is supplied as a one-pack type composition.
      CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is prepared e.g. by reacting (A) a bisimidazoline compound of formula (X is residue obtained by eliminating carboxyl groups from a dibasic acid; R and R' are alkylene; n is 0 or positive integer) derived from (i) a dibasic acid (e.g. malonic acid) and (ii) hydroxyalkylethylenediamine with (B) more than equimolar amount (based on the component A) of an epoxy resin derived from bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin, and neutralizing the reaction product with (C) a volatile acid (e.g. formic acid).
      USE: Coating of a slate, asbestos millboard, woodboard, plywood, plastic surface, glass, concrete, etc.
