    • PURPOSE:To search bamboo shoots in the ground by giving vibrations to a mother bamboo so that a bamboo shoot connected with the bamboo with an underground stem can be vibrated in the ground and detecting the vibration radiated from the bamboo shoot into the ground in the ground or on the ground surface. CONSTITUTION:An exciter 2 is fitted to a mother bamboo 1 and, at the same time, a vibration detecting machine 7 is set on the ground surface 6. The exciter 2 gives mechanical vibrations to the bamboo 1 so as to vibrate a bamboo shoot 4 connected with the bamboo 1 with an underground stem 3. Since the vibration radiated from the bamboo shoot 4 under the ground 5 is not damped much because the bamboo shoot 4 is nearer to the ground surface than the underground stem 3. Therefore, the vibration of the underground stem 3 can be detected as the strong vibration and the position under the ground 5 or the ground surface 6 can be detected with the detecting machine 7. Since the weak leakage of vibrations are also detected from the underground stem 3, it is not necessary to search the bamboo shoot 4 over a wide area on the ground surface 6, but the bamboo shoot 4 can be searched efficiently along the underground stem 3 extended from the mother bamboo 1.

Then, the time difference in attaining of the electromagnetic wave accompanied with the electrostatic discharge generated in the measurement region at each antenna is analyzed to obtain the intersection of three or more hyperbolas obtained between the receiving antennas set on the different planes, and the position information of the electrostatic discharge generation position with respect to the detection reference point is computed. Then, the electrostatic discharge generation position is predetermined by adjusting the irradiation angle or the distance to the laser light reflection plate of the visible laser range finder set at the detection reference point to attain the laser light at the computed electrostatic discharge generation point.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method for producing a vitreous light filler material which provides a high strength vitreous hollow sphere no matter what type of raw ores are used and can expand the use field as a filler material.
      SOLUTION: The method for producing the vitreous hollow sphere comprises removing a heavy mineral from a volcanic glass raw ore, followed by roughly classifying the whole into three types, a fine-particle fraction, a middle-particle fraction, and a coarse-particle fraction, and feeding the middle-particle fraction to an internal combustion medium fluidized bed furnace as a stock. The feed stock is preheated by mixing it with exhaust gas discharged from the fluidized bed furnace and allowing heat exchange between the both. The preheated stock is then passed through a cyclone to remove the coarse-particle portion and the fine-particle portion, and only the middle-particle portion having a particle size of 7-210 μm is sent to the internal combustion medium fluidized bed furnace to be fired and foamed. The temperature of the stock mixture at the first point of contact between the feed stock and the exhaust gas is controlled in the range of 490-790°C, and the temperature of the stock mixture at an inlet port of the cyclone is controlled in the range of 100-300°C.
