    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gap measuring device capable of easily measuring a minimum value of a gap between bodies in a longer direction.SOLUTION: A gap measuring device includes: an inside slide member 13 to which an end of a linear scale 3 is fitted and which can slide in contact with the inside of one body of two bodies 10a, 11a along its longer direction; an outside slide member 14 which is installed opposite the inside slide member with the one body interposed and can slide in contact with the outside of the body along its longer direction; a retaining elastic body 16 which is provided between both the slide members and applies elastic force in such a direction that those slide members are put closer to each other; and a measurement display member 12 which is installed in a direction orthogonal to the linear scale and in parallel with the inside slide member and which can slide along a longer direction of the linear scale and also can slide in contact with the inside of the other body along its longer direction. The inside slide member, outside slide member, and measurement display member are made to slide along the longer directions of the two bodies, and the measurement display member moves along the longer direction of the linear scale so as to measure a minimum value of a gap based upon a movement width.
