    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of loss caused by eddy current occurring in a metal can plate in an axial gap type canned motor.SOLUTION: An axial gap type canned motor includes: a rotor 12 rotating through a shaft 10 and a bearing 40; a stator part 14 disposed in the shaft 10 direction through the rotor 12 and an air gap AG and rotating the rotor 12; a housing 16 holding the stator part 14; a casing 18 guiding an object substance to the rotor 12 and covering the rotor 12 and the object substance; and a can plate 20 shielding the housing 16 from the casing 18. The can plate 20 is formed into a circular flat plate having a hollow space where the shaft 10 passes, and the flat plate is formed by a non conductive material.
