    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire being excellent in on-ice performance, steering stability on a dry road surface and wear-resistance and having small rolling resistance. SOLUTION: The tire is characterized in that a rubber composition in which 5-50 pts.mass of a low molecular weight-modified conjugated diene-based polymer having a weight-average molecular weight before modification of 2×10 3 -15×10 4 and 20-200 pts.mass of a reinforcing filler are formulated relative to 100 pts.mass of a rubber matrix containing a modified natural rubber in which a polar group-containing hydrazide compound is added to at least one natural rubber raw material selected from the group consisting of a natural rubber, a natural rubber latex coagulum and a natural rubber cup lamp and the polar group-containing hydrazide compound is added to a natural rubber molecule in the natural rubber raw material and a high molecular weight-modified conjugated diene-based polymer having a weight-average molecular weight before modification of the value exceeding 15×10 4 -200×10 4 is used for any one of tire members.     • PURPOSE:To efficiently obtain a polymer having low hysteresis loss by adding a dihalogenated tin compound to a polymerization system in polymerizing a conjugated diene and/or a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon using an organolithium compound as an initiator. CONSTITUTION:A halogenated tin compound of the structural formula SnX2 (X is halogen) (e.g. tin dichloride) in an amount of =0.12mol equiv. based on 1mol equiv. polymerization active terminal lithium is added to a polymerization system during a polymer chain growth period just after starting the polymerization to 80%, preferably 25% conversion ratio in polymerizing a conjugated diene (preferably 1,3-butadiene) and/or a vinyl aromatic compound (preferably styrene) in a hydrocarbon solvent using an organolithium compound (preferably n-butyl-lithium or t-butyl-lithium) as an initiator to carry out the polymerizing reaction. After completing the polymerizing reaction, a modifying agent selected from tin compounds, isocyanate group-containing compounds, etc., as necessary, is added to produce the objective polymer containing >=40% high-molecular weight polymer having tin-carbon bond chain at a low cost with good productivity.
