    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device which has a function of easily confirming an adjustment result based on a vector waveform when an automatic adjustment function such as a white balance is used. SOLUTION: The imaging device has a waveform generator 3 for generating a vector waveform signal from a video signal in response to a depression of a switch 6 as a switch for automatically adjusting a white balance or the like and for outputting the generated vector waveform signal for a constant period of time. The imaging device also has a combiner 4 for superimposing a video signal on a vector waveform signal and for displaying the superimposed signal on a display 5. Since the vector waveform of the video signal is displayed on the display 5 for the constant time to be superimposed on the video, a result of adjusting the white balance or the like can be easily confirmed without involving another operation. Further, since the vector waveform automatically disappears after the lapse of a predetermined time period, the user can take an image without being disturbed by the vector waveform.
