摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookbinding device with a simple structure, which is capable of preventing ink of characters printed on a paper sheet from bleeding and enabling reliable welding in a tape welding process for paper sheet bundles, thereby improving bookbinding quality.SOLUTION: A bookbinding device includes: a heater unit that applies predetermined heat to a bookbinding tape 133 by a heater 127 so that a binding portion of a paper sheet bundle is pressure-bonded by melting adhesive applied to one surface of the bookbinding tape; a heater moving unit that moves the heater; a paper sheet bundle moving unit 500 that moves a paper sheet bundle 120 nipped; and a control unit that controls the heater moving unit and the paper sheet bundle moving unit so as to perform a preliminary heating step in which the binding portion of the paper sheet bundle is heated in advance by the heater, and a welding step in which the bookbinding tape is welded to the binding portion of the paper sheet bundle by the heater while the bookbinding tape overlaps the binding portion of the heated paper sheet bundle.

The controlling part 50 releases the booklet from the holder 20 after positioning the heater board 42 lower than the insert space G of the booklet on the heating stage for melting the hot melt adhesive, thereby one side of the sheet bundle of the booklet sinking into the gradually melting hot melt adhesive under its own weight, enabling secure adhesion.
