    • PURPOSE:To prevent burrs, warping, etc., from occurring as well as to aim at improvements in a yield rate, by forming both V-shaped and inversed V-shaped grooves on both sides of a band plate in the longitudinal direction, while correcting it in applying pressure and smoothing all parts other than these groove parts, and constituting it so as to be shorn along these grooves, in case of a cutting device of strip material for a bearing or the like. CONSTITUTION:In case of a roll mechanism 2 rolling a band plate P15 of an uncoiler U, this band plate receives rolling action by an upper cutter 4a and a lower cutting 4b whereby V-shaped grooves are formed on both faces. Then, the band plate P is led into a pressure roll mechanism 12, and all parts other than these groove parts are rolled, thus deformation due to rolling is corrected and smoothed. Next, it is fed to a slip mechanism 22, a cut along these grooves, made up into slender strips P3 and P4 and a scrap piece C1 and rolled on coils C and SC. With this constitution, burrs, warping, pressure marks, etc., are all prevented from occurring, thus yield improvements are well promotable.
