    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a freshness-retaining device for retaining freshness of foods, and the like, by evaporating a freshness-retaining liquid from an adsorbent and preventing direct contact of the adsorbent to the foods, and the like, by reducing variation in amount of vaporization without reducing the amount of vaporization of the freshness-retaining liquid less than a predetermined value.
      SOLUTION: This freshness-retaining device comprises the adsorbent adsorbing the freshness-retaining liquid and a film-like cover having high impermeability to a gas of the freshness-retaining liquid and covering the adsorbent from outside. The cover is formed in a size larger than that of the adsorbent, the outer periphery is spread toward each side of the adsorbent in a state nipping the adsorbent between the upper and lower surfaces to form a skirt part separated to upper and lower sides. Between the upper and the lower skirts, an opening for volatilization is installed to allow vaporization of the freshness-retaining liquid to gradually vaporize from the adsorbent toward outside. A layer having function for adsorbing and dispersing the liquid adhered to a film surface in the inside is installed on the side contacting to the adsorbent in both sides or one side of the upper and lower film constituting the skirt part.
