摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker of such a structure that a U-shaped part is formed in a main circuit conductor and a current sensing means of an over-current trip part is installed between the two legs of the U-shape, in which a current transformer for power supply of the over-current trip part is installed compactly and the output therefrom is enlarged. SOLUTION: A current transformer 2 for a power supply is configured from a secondary coil 6 installed between two legs 1a, 1b of the U-shaped part of a main circuit conductor 1 and a core 7 equipped with a core leg 7a penetrating the coil and yokes 7b, 7c surrounding the legs 1a, 1b of the U-shape, and a current sensing means 3 is supported by this current transformer 2. Thereby the current transformer 2 is installed compactly inside the main circuit conductor 1, and the magnetic flux of the main circuit current flowing in the legs 1a, 1b is increased double to act on the secondary coil 6, and a large output from power supply is obtained even in a micro-region of the main circuit current.

CONSTITUTION:A terminal adapter 9 comprises an insulating base 10 and a terminal bar 11 assembled on the insulating base with a crimped terminal tightening screw 12 attached to one end of the bar 11. To connect the crimped terminal 6 of the external wiring 7 to each terminal bolt 2 drawn out onto the back of a circuit breaker 1, the terminal bar of the terminal adapter is fitted into each terminal bolt of the circuit breaker and tightened, and under these conditions the crimped terminal of the external wiring is screwed and connected to the terminal bar. Also, terminals for a single or three phases (U, V, W) arranged to match the interval at which the terminal bolts of the circuit breaker are arranged, are assembled on the insulating base and an interphase partition 10a is provided to electrically insulate and isolate the terminal bars of each phase from one another.

The electric wire connecting device 6 is installed in the end part of the circuit breaker, and when the connecting end part 5a of the electric wire 5 is inserted between the connecting plate 7 and the leaf springs 11 and 12 through an electric wire inserting hole 16, connection to the connecting plate 7 can be carried out by the leaf spring 11, and slipping-out can be prevented by the leaf spring 12.
