    • PURPOSE:To improve a heat transferring amount of an entire feedwater heater by a method wherein some steam flowing holes are arranged between a group of holes through which heat transfer tubes of a group of heat transfer tubes on the feedwater inlet side and a group of holes through which the heat transfer tubes of a group of heat transfer tubes on a feedwater outlet side pass in a supporting plate of the heat transfer pipes. CONSTITUTION:There are provided a group of U-shaped heat transfer tubes comprising a group 8 of water feeding inlet side heat transfer tubes 8 and a group 7 of water feeding outlet side heat transfer tubes constructed by a plurality of heat transfer tubes having fed water flowed through them; a cylindrical barrel 2 for storing them; and a steam inlet for heating the fed water flowing in clearances between a plurality of heat transfer tubes. In addition, a heat transfer tube supporting plate 3 is present within the barrel 2, fixed to the barrel 2, wherein each of a plurality of heat transfer tubes is passed through the through-pass holes 4 and 5 punched in the plate 3 and thereby the group of U-shaped heat transfer tubes is supported by the barrel 2. Such a feedwater heater 1 is provided with steam flowing holes 12 between a group 4 of holes through which a plurality of heat transfer tubes of a group 6 of the feedwater inlet side heat transfer tubes and a group 5 of holes through which a plurality of heat transfer tubes of a group 7 of the feedwater outlet side heat transfer tubes pass in the heat transfer tube supporting plate 3.

      SOLUTION: In the turbine exhaust system 100, steam flows in from a steam inflow pipe 20 into a turbine stage to drive a turbine rotor 1, and the exhaust is guided to a condenser 200. The exhaust system comprises a casing 2 in an exhaust chamber equipped with a turbine rotor 1 therein, and a casing 5 provided outside the exhaust chamber. The casing 5 covers the casing 2 the exhaust chamber, and makes the exhaust chamber 4 between the casing 2 and the casing 5 to guide exhaust discharged from the turbine stage to the condenser 200. The exhaust system comprises further an exhaust cooling device 50 which jets off a cooling liquid into a dead water region in the exhaust chamber 4 for blow-off from the turbine stage.
