    • PURPOSE:To control plate thickness of rolled plates accurately by dividing a thickness control signal into a high frequency component for tension control and a low frequency component for reduction position control and controlling a plate thickness using the above two components simultaneously for rolling metal plates and controlling a plate thickness by adjustment of both tension and reduction position. CONSTITUTION:A longitudinal plate thickness control signal (c) is calculated by adding an inlet side plate thickness deviation signal (a) which is the difference between a measured thickness by an inlet side thickness gage 6a of the mill 1 and the target value to an outlet side plate thickness deviation (b) signal measured an outlet side plate thickness gage 6b of the mill 1 by a plate thickness controller 7 for rolling of steel plates S by the rolling mill 1. That signal is divided into a high frequency component (d) for tension control of a steel plate between reels 2 and 3 and the mill 1 and a low frequency component (e) for reduction position control through a filter. The signal (d) is outputted to an inlet and outlet side tension controllers 4 and 5 and the signal (e) is outputted to a reduction position controller 13. Simultaneous adjustment of both a tension and pressing-down position controls makes a longitudinal plate thickness be equal to the target thickness quickly and accurately.

    • PURPOSE:To perform tension control in high accuracy to uniformize the thickness of tube material by calculating the tension between stands through the loaded torque of a roll driving motor, a rolling load of each stand and a parameter calculated from it. CONSTITUTION:A mandrel bar 2 is inserted into the tube material 1 and rolling is carried out in plural stands A1 - Ak. The current and the number of rotation of the roll driving motor M are detected by a detector 6, a TG in this mandrel mill to find the loaded torque Gi. On one hand, a rolling load Gi at each stand Ai is found by a load a load detector 7. Consequently, a parameter ai.lambdadi+ui.Ri for the rolling loadis presumed by an arithmetic and control unit 10. Then, as a result, a tension Fi-Fi1 given to the tube material 1 between stands is calculated by a formula : Fi-Fi-1=2[Gi-(ai.lambdadi+ui-Ri)Pi]/Ri. The correction of the number of rotation of the roll at each stand is operated considering the deviation between this calculated tension and the target tension and the mutual intervention between stands. The motor M is adjusted to control the tension through an adjuster ASR for the number of rotation of the roll and a thyristor SCR inaccordance with this correction.

    • PURPOSE:To control a plate thickness of steel plates accurately by measuring a steel plate thickness at both an inlet and outlet sides of a rolling mill, operating a feed forward and a feed back signal based on each target thickness value, sand modifying a steel plate tension and a reduction position for rolling of steel plates and others by the rolling mill. CONSTITUTION:Plate thickness deviation signals (a) and (b) which are a respective inlet and outlet difference from the target thickness values are obtained by measuring a plate thickness by an inlet and outlet side thickness gages 6a and 6b and inputting the measured values into a plate thickness controller 7 for rolling steel plates by the rolling mill 1. A feed forward plate thickness control signal (c) and a feed back plate thickness control signal (d) from the plate thickness controller 7 are used to eliminate those deviation. The former signal (c) controls a number of revolution of reel motors M2 and M3 of the inlet and outlet side controllers 4 and 5 as a tension modifying signal. The latter signal (d) is converted to a reduction position modifying signal and is inputted into a reduction position controller 13 to control a steel plate thickness accurately.
