    • PURPOSE:To provide a tri-star roll rolling mill train with which the adjustment of the tension on outlet side, and the shape and surface roughness of strips are easy by disposing 4- or 6 stage rolling mills in proximity to the post state of a rolling mill disposed with 3 pieces of work rolls radially at equal intervals on the outside circumferences of non-driven central work rolls. CONSTITUTION:A strip 15 is uncoiled frm an uncoiling reel 11, and is introduced through deflector rolls 16 into a tri-star roll rolling mill 12, where it is screw down hightly at 3 points simultaneously to desired plate thickness. Next, the strip 15 out from the mill 12 is bitten into a 6- high rolling mill 13, by which it is rolled to the final thickness; at the same time, its shape and surface characteristics are controlled, and the strip is taken up on a take-up reel 14. The forward tension of the mill 12 during this time is given by the mill 13. According to this rolling mill train, high screw-down of about 75% is feasible with 1 stand of the rolling mill 12 and therefore the number of rolling stands is decreased. Since the take-up tension is less required, the reduction in the size and capacity of the reel 14 is made possible.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a titled rolling mill train which rolls a material to be rolled to approximately uniform surface characteristics on both surfaces and yields products of good quality by disposing a plurality of rolling mills disposed with three pieces of work rolls approximately at equal intervals on the outside circumference of nondriven central work rolls to the mutually opposite roll configuration with the adjacent stands. CONSTITUTION:A strip 12 is uncoiled from an uncoiling reel 11, and is introduced through deflector rolls 16 into a No.1 tri-star roll rolling mill 13, by which it is screwed down simultaneously at three points. In succession to this, the strip 12 out from the mill 3 is supplied to a No.2 tri-star roll rolling mill 14 assuming the opposite roll configuration of the mill 13, and after it is rolled to desired plate thickness by simultaneous screwing-down at three points, it is taken up with a take-up reel 15. As a result, both surfaces of the strip 12 are screwed down under approximately the same conditions are therefore the surface characteristic, shape, etc. are made uniform, and the required forward and backward tensions are approtioned by the mutually adjacent rolling mills.

    • PURPOSE:For uniforming the collision energy of a polisher with a steel plate for example and the roughness of said steel plate by making the revolutions of a projector following up the transfer speed of said steel plate. CONSTITUTION:The line speed of a steel plate (m) is detected by a detector A, and thus-obtained speed detection signal is fed to a projector revolutions setting section B. Revolutions are selected correspondingly to the previously set value of the transfer speed of said steel plate (m) in accordance with said input signal, and revolutions signal is generated. Said revolutions signal and the signal representing the relative revolutions characteristic curve to the transfer speed of said steel plate of a setting device C are fed to a revolutions controller D, and the revolutions of the driving motor J of said projector are changed by said revolutions controller D to follow up the transfer speed of said steel plate. Thus, the collision energy of a polisher (s) with said steel plate and the roughness of said steel plate are uniformed.
