    • PURPOSE:To provide power feeding at an antenna provided with a negative resistance element and impedance matching at the same time by forming the N+1 terminal pairs of circuit networks combining 2N pairs of transmission lines provided with a specified length and a characteristic impedance. CONSTITUTION:The transmission line of the characteristic impedance shown by a formula I with the length of a 1/4 wavelength on a line is connected to an n-th [(n) is an integer larger than 1 and smaller than N) element (assuming that a resistance value is defined as Rn and the set values of the amplitude and phase of a supplying current are respectively defined as xsin and deltan (radian.)] Further, the transmission line of the characteristic impedance shown by a formula IV with the length of Ln simultaneously satisfying the conditions of formulas II and III or Ln+kappa (kappa is an integer larger than 1) adding the integer multiple of a wavelength to that value is continuously serially connected. Then, all the N pieces of terminals on the side, where respective elements are not connected, are connected at one point and high frequency power is supplied to that junction. In the formulas I-TV, (m) is integers from 1 to N, Sn is the code of a resistor Rn, and lambdadn is the wavelength on the line.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an efficient floating type head by opposing a 1st magnetic pole to a medium at the narrow width, opposing the 2nd magnetic pole to the medium at the width larger than the width of the 1st magnetic pole, sticking a soft magnetic film to the surface facing the medium and parting the part stuck with the soft magnetic film at about 0.2-0.5 times the shortest wavelength of recording as compared to the 1st magnetic pole from the medium surface. CONSTITUTION:A lower magnetic film 2a, a coil 2c, and an upper magnetic film 2b are laminated on a substrate 41 which constitutes a slider material. In addition, a protective film 2d, a gap layer, a coil flattening layer, etc., are inserted. The spacing between the upper and lower magnetic films is, therefore, wide in the coil part and is narrow at both ends thereof so as to constitute a closed magnetic path. The magnetic films therebetween are formed to a tapered shape. The main magnetic pole 21 is disposed on the lower magnetic film 2a and the auxiliary magnetic pole 22 on the upper magnetic film 2b. The part corresponding to the auxiliary magnetic pole 22 is etched and thereafter, the soft magnetic film of the thickness smaller than the etching depth is stuck thereto. The retraction depth of the auxiliary magnetic pole 22 is set at about 0.2-0.5 times the shortest wavelength. The floating type magnetic head which can maintain high efficiency is thereby obtd.
