CONSTITUTION: The CPU 41 of a microcomputer 36 reads signals from wheel speed sensors 5-8 and a stop switch 25 and computes each wheel speed according to a program prestored in an ROM 42. The discrimination of a small diameter wheel on whether or not a small diameter tire is mounted is then performed from the deviation (speed ratio) of lateral wheels. The wheel speed VFL, VFR of front lateral wheels are compared and also the wheel speed VRL, VRR of rear lateral wheels are compared, and the one with higher speed is stored as the small diameter tire. The correction factor KR(n) of the front and rear wheel speed is then computed, and the output difference is corrected. On the basis of this, the estimated body speed VSB and the slip judgment speed VSH are computed.

    • PURPOSE:To restrict a lowering of deceleration, and to also restrict the vibration by performing at least one of the prohibition of reduction of the brake pressure and the delay of increase of the brake pressure with a vibration restricting means at the only time when each axle speed of the front wheel side and the rear wheel side has opposite phase vibration. CONSTITUTION:In an anti-skid control device to be applied to a four-wheel drive vehicle, a difference of the rotating speed between each axle of the front wheel side and the rear wheel side is computed by a speed difference computing means. A period that the computed speed difference achieves a predetermined value is computed by a period computing means. Furthermore, when the computed period exists within a predetermined range, a vibration generating means judges that each axle speed of the front wheel side and the rear wheel side has the opposite phase vibration. When the vibration is judged, a vibration restricting means performs at least of the prohibition of reduction of the brake pressure and the delay of increase of the brake pressure performs to at least one of wheels of the front wheel and the rear wheel. Lowering of the deceleration is thereby restricted, and the vibration is also restricted.

    • PURPOSE:To calculate a more accurate vehicle body velocity based on wheel velocity by providing a change means for changing the calculation of estimated vehicle body velocity according to wheel velocity when the slip value of each wheel is determined to be within a predetermined range over a predetermined time. CONSTITUTION:Outputs from wheel velocity sensors 71-74 provided in the wheels of a vehicle are sampled into an ECU 100. The velocities of all the wheels are computed form the output of the ECU. Signals from an acceleration sensor 1 are sampled into the ECU 100. The acceleration sensor 1 is for detecting the deceleration of the vehicle body when the vehicle is braked. In the ECU 100, the deceleration of the vehicle body is computed based on signals output from the acceleration sensor 1, to calculate an estimated vehicle body velocity. The slip value of each wheel is determined with the estimated vehicle body velocity as a reference, and control signals for controlling brake hydraulic pressure are transmitted to drive circuits 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 87.

    • PURPOSE:To provide an antiskid controller that is able to improve the braking property of a vehicle as controlling the extent of yaw torque to be added to the vehicle on a split road. CONSTITUTION:Each solenoid valve individually regulating each braking hydraulic pressure of symmetrical front wheels operates both differences in each time turning to a booster mode and a decompressing mode (206), and on the basis of this operation, a high hydraulic pressure side wheel is judged (207). After each individual solenoid valve control mode is set on the basis of a slip state of each wheel (209), select low control is selected for rear wheels (211), independent control, independent limiting control and the selector low control are selected for the front wheels, in proportion as a difference in the slip state grows larger (217). Imbalance in front wheel braking force on a split road means that large yaw torque is added to a vehicle, but the extent of braking force is improvable as controlling this imbalance in a sufficient manner.
