    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording medium which reduces coating defects, has excellent print density and traveling performance in printing by a thermal printer, has high stability for a plasticizer, hardly decreases the print density even after storage under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions, and uses a plastic film as a support.SOLUTION: A thermal recording medium uses a plastic film as a support, sequentially includes a thermal recording layer and a protective layer as an outermost layer, has an acrylic resin and a polyolefin resin contained in the protective layer, and has a specific developer contained in the thermal recording layer. Thus, the thermal recording medium can prevent the occurrence of coating defects while exhibiting normal performance with respect to water resistance and the like required for the thermal recording medium like this, has excellent print density and traveling performance in printing by a thermal printer, has high stability for a plasticizer, and hardly decreases the print density even after storage under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording medium including a plastic film as a support, a heat-sensitive recording layer, and a protective layer as an outermost layer, which are sequentially formed on the plastic film, while reducing coating defects.SOLUTION: The plastic film is used as a support. The heat-sensitive recording layer and the outermost protective layer are sequentially provided.
