    • PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a welding joint by providing an electromagnetic coil opposed to a welding torch by placing a groove between them, and also providing a hollow iron core for jetting a back shield gas, on the center of its coil. CONSTITUTION:An electromagnetic coil 19 opposed to a welding torch 18 is placed by placing a welding groove 13 between them. A hollow iron core 22 passing through the center part of the electromagnetic coil 19 is provided, and from its tip, a back shield gas such as argon, etc. is jetted to the rear side of the groove 13. Also, from many holes of the iron core 22, a shield gas is blown to the electromagnetic coil 19. By this mechanism, a molten pool is stirred by a large electromagnetic force, and also the electromagnetic coil 19 is cooled. Moreover, since the back shield gas covers the rear side of the groove 13, the quality of a welding joint is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent lack of fusion at the restart of welding in the stage of subjecting the defective part of a weld zone to plug welding by opening a specific tapered hole to the deposited metal, inclining slightly the tip of a welding nozzle and rotating the tip thereby welding the defective part. CONSTITUTION:The shape 11 in the restart part of the deposited metal 10 formed in a welding stage is made into the tapered shape having the diameter d1 in the upper part thereof smaller than the diameter D of a repair hole and the diameter d2 in the lower part thereof smaller ahtn the diameter d1 in the stage of interrupting temporarily welding and performing welding again in order to subject the defective part of the weld zone, etc. of thick plates after removing said part by a drill of the like to plug welding. Some angle is provided to a welding tip 3 with respect to the perpendicular plane and a nozzle 2 is rotated by a rotating mechanism. The transmission of welding heat is thus made fast from right after the restart of welding and the molten pool is made uniform, by which stable penetration is obtd.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To greatly reduce generation of a thermal decomposition organic gas having irritating odor, even under a high temperature exposure in a state of oxygen shortage at the time of welding, to substantially suppress degradation of working environment, and to sharply curtail generation of soot containing tar component with carbon as the base. SOLUTION: A main backing material, which is the lamination of a cushioning material 1 for buffering impact like a corrugated cardboard, a heat insulating material 2 like rock wool, flux 3, and a glass fiber woven cloth 4 for forming a back bead, is covered with a wrapping cloth 5 whose main material is a non-organic fiber cloth such as glass fiber and carbon fiber, with a pressure sensitive adhesive double coated tape 6 provided on the wrapping cloth 5, a tape for which a base material having a non organic fiber like glass or carbon fiber as the main material is coated with an adhesive layer having a silicone adhesive as the main component. As a result, in the case of high-temperature exposure in a state of oxygen shortage at the time of welding, the device greatly reduces generation of a thermal decomposition organic gas having an irritating odor, substantially curtailing generation of soot containing tar component with carbon as the base, thereby facilitating a soot removing operation accompanying the sticking of soot to a steel plate or the like.
