    • PURPOSE:To perform an equivalent test conformable to an actual system by connecting two parallel resonance circuits having an equivalent resonance frequency in series and also short-circuiting one of them with the closing of switch at the point of time after a current is interrupted. CONSTITUTION:When the current is interrupted at the time t0 by opening a breaker 2 to be tested in the condition that a switch 7 of the parallel resonance circuit 6 is opened, a voltage of 1.5E (E is a peak voltage value of power supply 1) is made to remain in a capacitor 3 for remaining the voltage. The parallel resonance circuits 5,6 are oscillated with a single frequency f0, and a voltage between the poles of breaker 2 is made to be es-el=3/2E(1-cosomega0t), (omega0 is an angular velocity expressed as omega0=2pif). At this time, when the switch 7 is closed at the time t1 corresponding to the interrupting points for the 2nd and 3rd phases, the voltage generated between both ends of the circuit 6 is made to be zero. Since the electrostatic capacity ratio of capacitors 51, 61 is 2:1, the voltage between the poles of breaker 2 is made to be E{3/2-sin(omega0t-pi)}. This relation shows the voltage between the poles at the time when the leading current is interrupted in a non-grounding system, then the voltage waveform at the 1st phase interrupting time in a 3-phase circuit can be simulated by a single phase circuit.
