In this static hydraulic continuously variable transmission 5, when a speed change lever 10 is operated over a neutral stopping position N and an advance side highest speed position FM, a motor-driven cylinder 7 is driven by a control device 11, and a tilt angle of a trunnion shaft (a swash plate) 6 of the continuously variable transmission 5 is adjusted. At that time, when judged that pressure of operating fluid detected by a pressure sensor 14 exceeds a preset value and a load applied to the static hydraulic continuously variable transmission 5 becomes large, setting is changed to the high speed side as the pressure of the operating fluid largely exceeds the preset value.

A driving mechanism 31 and an elasticity lending mechanism are interposed between the running machine body 1 and the axle cases 29, 30. An angle sensing mechanism 33 is installed which is to sense the left-right inclination angle of the machine body 1. Thereby the driving mechanism 31 is drive controlled by a machine body correcting means in accordance with the sensing result of the left-right inclination angle, and the running machine body 1 is maintained in the horizontal attitude.
