    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a joint structure and a pile joining method for a steel pipe pile, which can reduce resistance in the penetration of the pile.
      SOLUTION: This joint structure is equipped with: cylindrical outside joint pipes 35 and 37 which are joined to ends of the two steel pipe piles 31 and 33 to be joined together, respectively, and in which uneven parts 35a and 37a are provided in inner peripheral surfaces; and an arc-shaped member 39 which can be arranged on the inner peripheral surfaces of the joint pipes 35 and 37 over both of the joint pipes 35 and 37 and has uneven parts 39a capable of being fitted into the uneven parts 35a and 37a of the joint pipes 35 and 37. The member 39 is arranged in inner peripheral parts of the joint pipes 35 and 37 in such a manner that the uneven parts 35a, 37a and 39a are fitted into one another, and the joint pipes 35 and 37 are joined together, so that the two piles 31 and 33 can be joined together.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a joint structure of a steel pipe pile capable of being manufactured at a low cost and a pipe jointing method excellent in workability. SOLUTION: The joint structure of the steel pipe pile includes cylindrical inside joint pipes 35 and 37 respectively connected to the ends of two steel pipe piles 31 and 33 to be jointed and provided with uneven sections 35a and 37a on the outer circumference and a circular arc-shaped member 39 capable of being placed over these two inside joint pipes 35 and 37 on the outer circumferences of the inside joint pipes 35 and 37 and having an uneven section 39a capable of being fitted to the uneven sections 35a and 37a of the inside joint pipes 35 and 37. In the joint structure for connecting the two steel pipe piles 31 and 33 by connecting both inside joint pipes 35 and 37 by placing the circular arc-shaped member 39 on the outer circumferences of the inside joint pipes 35 and 37 so as to fit the uneven sections 35a, 37a and 39a to each other, the center of the plate thickness of the steel pipe piles 31 and 33 and the center of the uneven sections 35a, 37a and 39a of the inside joint pipes 35 and 37 and the circular arc-shaped member 39 are coaxially aligned on an axis parallel with a pile.
