CONSTITUTION: The U shape flow type vaporized fuel processing device for a vehicle is provided with a container 2 where two chambers composed of a chamber 5, and of a chamber 6, which house absorbent respectively, are partitioned by a partitioning board 7. A first projected part 4 is provided for the inner surface of the apex part 3 of the chamber 5, and a filter 8 is brought into contact with the first projected part 4 in order to specify a space layer 18 by the cooperation with the first projected part 4. A second projected part 4 is provided for the inner surface of the side part 35 of the chamber 5, and a filter 38 abuts against the second projected part 4 in order to specify a space layer 19 communicated with the space layer 18 by the cooperation with the second projected part 4. A high speed charge port 21 is provided for the apex part 3 corresponding to the chamber 5 in order to connect the first space layer 18 to the apex part of a fuel tank. And a purge port 22 is provided for the apex part 3 corresponding to the chamber 5 in order to connect the space layer 18 to the suction system of an engine.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent evaporated fuel from being discharged into the atmosphere from a feed oil pipe to the utmost by connecting the other end of an evaporated fuel passage, connected to an upper space in a fuel tank, to the feed oil pipe at a part corresponding to the negative pressure lead-in hole of a nozzle at the oil feeding time, and leading evaporated fuel to the negative pressure lead-in hole of an oil gun from the evaporated fuel passage. CONSTITUTION:One end part of an evaporated fuel passage 23 is connected to the upper part of a tank body 21, and a canister C is connected to the other end of the fuel passage 23. The connecting part of the fuel passage 23 into the tank body 21 is provided with a float valve 26 including a float 25. In this case, a switching valve V opened at the oiling time is interposed at the intermediate part of the fuel passage 23. This switching valve V is kept closed in the closed state of an oil filling port 22a since the differential pressure of a valve body 54 displacing a diaphragm 49 onto the side of opening a valve hole 53 is not generated between a valve chamber 50 and a spring chamber 51. The switching valve V is opened when the diaphragm 49 is displaced against a spring 52 according to the internal pressure of the fuel tank T, that is, the pressure increase in the valve chamber 50 the oiling time by an oiling gun G.

    • PURPOSE:To promote the desorption of evaporated fuel efficiently with a simple mechanism by controlling electrification of a pair of electrodes disposed at both sides of activated carbon in a canister. CONSTITUTION:A pair of electrode plates 40, 41 opposed to each other are embedded in activated carbon 36 in a canister C along the inner peripheral surface of a receptacle 30. An electrifying means 42 for applying voltage across the electrode plates 40, 41 is operated under the control of an ECU 15. The activated carbon sandwiched between the electrode plates 40, 41 has large electric resistance, but is conductive in electric current to generate heat by itself. When the temperature of the activated carbon 36 itself rises to some degree, adsorbed evaporated fuel gets liable to be desorbed. The control of the electrifying means 42 detects the running condition of an engine according to signals of an absolute pressure sensor 10 in an exhaust pipe, an engine rotational frequency sensor 11, etc. The electrifying means 42 is turned on to apply electricity after warming-up is completed after start and O2 feed-back control is started, and the desorption of the evaporated fuel is urged nearly at the same time as the purge to improve the purge efficiency.
