    • PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a welding joint by providing an electromagnetic coil opposed to a welding torch by placing a groove between them, and also providing a hollow iron core for jetting a back shield gas, on the center of its coil. CONSTITUTION:An electromagnetic coil 19 opposed to a welding torch 18 is placed by placing a welding groove 13 between them. A hollow iron core 22 passing through the center part of the electromagnetic coil 19 is provided, and from its tip, a back shield gas such as argon, etc. is jetted to the rear side of the groove 13. Also, from many holes of the iron core 22, a shield gas is blown to the electromagnetic coil 19. By this mechanism, a molten pool is stirred by a large electromagnetic force, and also the electromagnetic coil 19 is cooled. Moreover, since the back shield gas covers the rear side of the groove 13, the quality of a welding joint is improved.

    • PURPOSE: To make butt welding in a narrow place possible by mounting two split rotatable electricity conducting rings on their inner side of two split bodies enclosing the circumferential surface of pipes, using transparent materials for the annular parts of the bodies opposite to the swiveling locus of an electrode holding these, and providing two split adapter rings contacting tightly the circumferential surface of the pipes on both sides of the bodies.
      CONSTITUTION: Two split electricity conducting rings 14a, b are provided rotatably on the inner side of two split bodies 3 enclosing the circumference of pipes 1, and an electrode 16 is held by one ring 14a thereof. Transparent materials 18a, b of quartz glass or the like are used for the annular parts of the bodies 3 opposite to the locus of the electrode 16 swiveled by the rotation of the ring 14a, and further two split adapter rings 10a, b contacting tightly the cylindrical circumferential surfaces of the bodies 3 are provided. Here, electricity is supplied to the electrode 16 to generate an arc, by which the butt parts of the pipes 1 are welded under monitoring through the materials 18a, b.

    • PURPOSE:To make possible the fillet welding of high quality to be carried out automatically, by incorporating the peculiar mechanism consisting of the traveling torch truck, the torch truck, etc., into the fillet welder for welding the corner part formed by a vertical structur and a horizontal stiffener being tack welded to this structure. CONSTITUTION:The welding torch 31, and the torch bed plate 21 provided with the tracing roller 22 contacting with the vertical parent metal 1, are installed on the torch truck 15 so as to always extrude toward the parent metal 1. The torch 31 is set at a constant distance from the parent metal 1, and besides, above truck 15 is connected to the slide 10 by the pin 11 so as to freely swing vertically; hereupon, the slide 10 is slidable toward the parent metal 1 on the traveling truck 3 traveling parallelly to the parent metal 1 on the horizontal parent metal (stiffener) 2a being tack welded to the parent metal 1. The torch truck 15 and the traveling truck 3 are separately moved vertically along the ups and downs of the horizontal parent metal 2a, and the torch 31 is traveled keeping a constant distance from the parent metal 2a. The right and left manual slides 32, 32', and upper and lower slides 33, 33', settle the torches 31, 31', at the suitable position of the groove, and the welding is carried out; hereby, the automatic welding of the fillet part is possible independently of ups and downs of the parent metal.

    • PURPOSE:To resist against large fluid force and to enable to use for a pipe whose shape is varied in sites or in which obstacles exist by providing the 1st and 2nd traveling means each having a driving wheel and a pressing pad, a steering mechanism for the 2nd traveling means, a nozzle for jetting high pressure water, and a monitoring part for a cleaning part. CONSTITUTION:A body 11 is held in the center of a pipe 90 by supporting extension/ contraction parts 20, 22 with the pipe 90. Strong supporting force is obtained and driving force and holding force are obtained without being influenced by fluid drag by using driving wheels 27, 31 for the exclusive use of a circular or elliptical pipe and a pressing pad 25. By the supporting fixation and traveling by the 1st and 2nd traveling means, the bending movement and the approaching and leaving movement of a front part 12 and a central part 13 by the 1st connecting part, and the horizontal bending movement of the central part 13 and a rear part 14 by the 2nd connecting part, a step part of a pipe having different diameters, a part in which the shape is varied, a region in which obstacles are exist and the like are overcome. An arm 42 is turned in the pipe peripheral direction in the pipe 90 and high water is jetted from a water jet nozzle 44 to clean the inner surface, and the cleaning state is monitored by a monitor camera 48.
