    • PURPOSE:To increase the degree of utilization of a transmission line by using a voice recognizing device and a voice synthesizer. CONSTITUTION:A voice signal from a microphone 1 is applied to a voice recognizing device 5, which recognizes respective elements of the voice signal such as syllables and clauses. Those recognized elements are applied to a transmission-side interface 6, where they are encoded into an information signal. This information signal is transmitted through a transmitter 7. The information signal received by a receiver 8 is applied to a reception-side interface 9, which converts the information signal into the corresponding elements. Those converted elements are applied to a voice synthesizer 10 to synthesize a voice, which is applied to a speaker 4. Consequently, the entire band of a transmission line is not used for the transmission of the voice signal, so plural communication systems are multiplexed through the transmission line with the same capacity, increasing the degree of utilization of the transmission line.

    • PURPOSE:To enable a plurality of controlling circuits to be combinedly used for each of AC motors, by a method wherein a controlling circuit provided with a semiconductor output controller is provided between AC generators and AC motors. CONSTITUTION:In a low-torque operation, shortcircuit switches 8, 8' are opened, change-over switches 10, 10' are changed over to the shortcircuit side, and ON- OFF switches 11, 11' are opened, whereby the electric power obtained by the AC generator 2 and that obtained by the AC generator 2' are entirely supplied to the AC motors 3, 3', respectively, so that a stable high-speed low-torque characteristic is obtained. In a high-torque operation such as in the case of an increase in the resistance on a ship's hull, the shortcircuit switches 8, 8' are opened, the change-over switches 10, 10' are changed over respectively to the sides of AC motors 4, 4', and the ON-OFF switches 11, 11' are opened, whereby a portion of the electric power supplied from the generators 2, 2' is supplied directly to the motors 3, 3', while the remainder is supplied to the AC motors 4, 4' through thyristor devices 5, 5', so that a high torque is obtained.
