In the case that the message to the communication system from the management application software 8 is the read request of the management information of the communication system, the management information storage part 9 responds to the management application software 8 based on the stored management information.

摘要： PURPOSE:To selectively report trap information that an integrated manager requires and lighten the load on the integrated manager by filtering trap information reported from an agent by respective submanagers. CONSTITUTION:A submanager 200 receives trap information reported from an agent 400 and filters the trap information by referring to filter conditions set in a filter MIB290. When there is trap information to be reported to the integrated manager 100 as a result of the filtering, the submanager 200 sends the trap information to the manager 100. Consequently, only the selected trap information is reported to blue manager 100 and the load on the manager 100 is lightened to flexibly cope with network constitution.

Then any of the high speed multiplex concentrating and distribution device connecting to a high speed digital line is subjected the polling. Then a time interval required for the polling to any of the high speed multiplex concentrating and distribution device connecting to the high speed digital line again (called the state monitor interval relating to the high speed digital line) is selected to be a quotient of the polling period divided by the sum of number of times of polling to the high speed multiplex concentrating and distribution device connecting to the high speed digital line (called the average state monitor interval of high speed digital line).
