摘要： PURPOSE:To accurately measure toner concentration by controlling an amount of developer moved by a magnetic roller for taking out to a predetermined amount using a flow control plate provided in a detection vessel. CONSTITUTION:Developer 1 in detection vessel 7 is taken out with magnetic roller 8 by controlling its flow rate to a proper value with flow rate control plate 7 provided nearly in the center of the lower opening of vessel 7 and in position B of the lower opening. The flow rate of developer 1 flowing under the lower end of plate 9 is arranged to become nearly half that flowing through position B. Accordingly, each flow rate through both routes on both sides plate 9, namely, the routes on both sides of detection coil 6 becomes similar to each other, and developer 1 in vessel 7 flows at a constant rate uniformly without stagnation, thus permitting toner concentration to be accurately measured.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enable sure level detection to be made by applying forceed exciting force to a vibrating reed from the outside to let it vibrate and removing the powder and granular material deposited on the vibrating reed through its vibrations. CONSTITUTION:A tuning bar 1, supported by a thin film plate 2, self-excites and vibrates in a free state and the vibrations thereof are converted by an electrostrictive vibrator 3 to electric signals which are then amplified by a amplifier 4. The amplified signals are positive-fed back to the electrostrictive vibrator 3', by which the vibrations in the natural frequency of the turning bar 1 is sustained. However, when the powder and granular material contact the tuning bar 1 and restrain the same, the vibrations will attenuate or stop and therefore, the presence of not of the powder and granular material around the tuning bar 1 may be detected by the output of a signal processing circuit 9. However, when the powder and granular material have deposited on the tuning bar 1, error detection may occur and therefore, a relay driving output V1 is periodically outputted from a relay driving circuit 8 and the output of an oscillation circuit 5 is applied to the electrostrictive vibrator 3' in the state of relay 6 close, 7 open to forcefully excite the tuning bar 1 thereby shaking down the powder and granular material having deposited on the tuning bar 1.

A control rule device 7 contains fuzzy rules and changed the rules according to the target value of a target value device 8. The density value of membership functions by initial control. Then, the ordinary printing operation is automatically carried out by setting the condition based on the fuzzy argument.

摘要： PURPOSE:To minimize a load on a developer and to prolong the service life of developer by intermittently attaching stirring auxiliary members to rotor-like stirring/mixing members which stir and mix developer in a developer container. CONSTITUTION:The stirring auxiliary members 2 made of sheet metals are attached to the rotary shafts 23 of the stirring/mixing members. Since the stirring/mixing members 3 rotate in the opposite direction to each other at the bottom of the developer container, it is preferable that the stirring auxiliary members 2 which are shorter than one pitch are attached at every other pitch of spirals so that they are arranged alternately (in a zigzag way) on the two stirring/mixing members A3 and B4, right and left. Thus, the load on developer is reduced, and also areas for which the stirring effects produced by the two stirring/mixing members A3 and B4 are affected are satisfactorily balanced. Thus, the life of developer is prolonged.

Consequently, toner sticking on the surface of a nonmagnetic sleeve 7 is rubbed away by an N1-pole magnetic brush and toner sticking on the surface of the nonmagnetic sleeve 10 is rubbed away by an S2-pole magnetic brush. Further, sticking toner is removed even with a developer 2 forming a U-shaped conveyance passage between the sleeves 7 and 10.

The developer 2 is attracted to the peripheral surface of the sleeve 4b by the magnetic force of the magnetic pole N2 and carried in an arrow B direction. Accordingly, magnetic force for carrying and transferring the developer 2 from the carrying roll 3 to the developing roll 4 is almost based on only the magnetic pole N1 and the magnetic force applied between carriers is weakened, the transfer of the developer between both the rolls 3, 4 is smoothly executed by the effect of the auxiliary carrying plate 5.

CONSTITUTION:A bias developing device 1 is composed of a developing container 2, a two-component system developer 3 composed of toner and a magnetic carrier, a magnetic roll 4 magnetically carrying the developer 3, a member 5 scratching off the developer 3 on the magnetic roll 4, and a shaping member 6 for uniformizing the napping of a magnetic brush. On the other hand, a bias voltage 11 capable of varying is applied on the magnetic roll 4, the scratching member 5, and the shaping member 6, a grid voltage 12 so as to have a constant voltage difference with respect to the bias voltage 11 is applied on a grid 10, and the bias voltage 11 and the grid 10 are an interlocking circuit so as to individually adjusted. The surface potential is controlled with the grid voltage of an electrifier so that the surface potential and the bias voltage can keep a constant difference. Thus, the excellent image quality is always kept, and the printing density can be changed.
