    • PURPOSE:To prevent the scattering of oil from a bearing so as to reduce the abnormal wear of a brush by making the axial dimension of a ball-core bearing larger than that of the oil supplying section and arranging a flinger so that the flinger can cover the outer peripheral section of the bearing. CONSTITUTION:A bearing unit 8 is composed of an oil supplying section 8a and ball-core bearing 8b and the bearing 8b supports a shaft 7 in a rotatable state. A rotor 10 is composed of a core 2, commutator 3, coil 4, and flinger 15, all of which are forcibly put on the shaft 7 and front end section 15a of the flinger 15 covers the bearing 8b projecting from the section 8a. Accordingly, even when the oil flowing out front the end face of the bearing 8b or from the circumferential surface of the bearing 8b by the friction with the shaft 7 is scattered front the used surface of a washer for adjusting thrust 6 by a centrifugal force when the washer 6 is rotated, the oil is not scattered outside, since the flinger is formed so as to cover the end face of the ball-core bearing. Therefore, the abnormal wear of a brush can be eliminated, since no oil adhere to the surface of the commutator.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent rainwater infiltration, and damp casing vibration excitation force by utilizing irregularity which is formed at the mating faces of split cylindrical casings, and inserting an O-ring into a faucet for fixing the split casings with each other. SOLUTION: A tubular casing 7 is formed by a light member such as a resin of non-magnetic material, and is constituted of right and left of cups 7b, 7c which is split into two pieces at a substantially central vertical surface in the axial direction of a rotating machine. By forming a groove part 7f of a ring shape and a protrusion 7g at the split surface which are fitted to each other, the stress generated at the split surface at the time of fixing work by a fitting leg 7d is received by one casing 7b to suppress the opening of the split surface to be minimum. To improve waterproofing, a small-diameter O-ring 9 which is an elastic member is positioned in the faucet part consisting of the annular groove part 7f and the protrusion part 7g with irregularities, which is fitted to each other. It is thus possible to completely seal rainwater infiltration, even under a harsh environmental condition with the strength of the split surface maintained.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating electric machine wherein a loss torque is reduced.
      SOLUTION: A stator 10 is constructed of a stator core 12 and stator coils 14 wound on the teeth of the stator core 12. The outside diameter of the stator 10 is smaller than the inside diameter of a pipe-like case 20, and the stator 10 is held on the inner circumferential side of the case 20 by a holding material 30. A rotor 40 is positioned on the inner circumferential side of the stator 10, and is rotatably supported by a bearing held by a bracket. The stator core 12 has through-holes 12AY penetrating it in the axial direction. The holding material 30B filled in the through-holes, and a holding material 30A that holds the stator 10 on the inner circumferential side of the case 20, are integrated with each other through holding materials 30C, 30D at both ends of the stator.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine which shortens an axial length, a manufacturing method of a stator coil, and a motor for electric power steering. SOLUTION: A stator 110 of the rotary electric machine includes a stator core 112, and the polyphase stator coils 114 incorporated in the stator core. The stator core 112 is formed by combining a plurality of split core strips. The stator coils 114 are wound by concentrated winding on a coil bobbin 112BO on which an outer periphery of teeth portions of the core strips is mounted, and coils which are the same in phase but different in winding directions are wound continuously at the teeth portions adjoining each other. A jumper wire EL which connects the first stator coil of wound around the first teeth portion to the second stator coil wound around the second teeth portion includes an axial end of the coil bobbin, and is positioned at a more central side of an axial direction than the end.
