In this case, as to the partially enlarged flat surface and the cross section of the prism sheet 401, the shape of the prism is the quadrangular pyramid state, and the cross section in a right- and-left direction and the cross section in an up-and-down direction are tooth- shaped. The diffused light made incident on the flat surface side of the prism sheet 401 is condensed in a normal direction by the prism sheet. Furthermore, a collecting rate is adjusted by the angle of the prism.

    • PURPOSE:To stably carry out profile control of a welding torch by providing an arithmetic means of convolution integration in calculating the weld line position correction quantity by the distance data operated in the orthogonal direction to a weld line and detecting the weld line position by integration with the abovementioned data as a value to be convoluted. CONSTITUTION:At the time of teaching, data detection processing for one scanning is carried out in advance and a distance data column is obtained and stored and made to a reference value. This reference value is multiplied by the time series sequence formed from plural detection results obtained by measurement at each point of parts where these two series sequences overlap each other. When the result is made to a convolution integration value at that time, the time series sequence of one series is obtained by carrying out the same processing on each sampling time. Since an obtained value of each point is expressed as the integration value, an error and a noise component with respect to a data value are relatively suppressed. In other words, these are made smooth. Consequently, the profile control of the welding torch can be stably carried out.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the utilization factor of a light beam from a light source by arranging an opening type fluorescent tube whose opening part is shaped like a convex lens on an optical axis of a cylindrical lens. CONSTITUTION:The opening type fluorescent tube 1 is arranged on one end part of a box body 2, and a cylindrical lens 5 is arranged on a position separated therefrom by a prescribed distance. By forming an opening part of the fluorescent tube 1 in a shape of a convex lens, a light beam emitted from the opening part is condensed and more emitted light beams are made incident on the lens 5. By such a constitution, a light beam 8-1 which transmits through the lens 5 becomes roughly parallel rays. The light beam 8-1 is reflected by semi- transmissive mirrors 6-1 - 6-4 and a total reflection mirror 7 arranged on an optical axis of the lens 5. These reflected light beams 9-1 - 9-5 are all quasi- parallel rays and its intensity is equal, and to a transmissive display panel 3, uniform quasi-parallel rays are made incident extending over the whole surface. Therefore, an emitted light beam 10 from the panel 3 becomes an optical component having good contrast to a liquid crystal panel.

CONSTITUTION:A conductive light shielding film 2 is formed of a louver structure having plural wings on a transparent substrate 1. This conductive light shielding film 2 limits the visual field angle so as to emit only the light near a front surface by limiting the upward emission of the light from a back transmitted through a liquid crystal panel 6, thereby preventing the reflection of the displayed image on a front windshield. A switch control circuit 9 turns a switch 5 on to make the conductive light shielding film 2 generate heat when the temp. detected by a temp. detecting sensor 8 is below the prescribed value. As a result, the liquid crystal panel 6 is heated and the response characteristic in low-temp. environment is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the product having a high contrast and high image quality and to improve productivity by using plural polarizing plates on a substrate side and disposing the polarizing plates in superposition by varying the polarization directions from each other in such a manner that the optically rotatory light of respectively different wavelength regions past a TN liquid crystal layer is shielded. CONSTITUTION:The polarization directions of the polarizing plates 1-1 to 1-3 are so set that the transmitted light is kept at a minimum level with respect to the light of the respective wavelength regions of green (G), red (R) and blue (B) as the form of disposition of these polarizing plates. Since the polarizing plate 1-1 is in the orthogonal relation with the polarization direction N-1, only the green light is shut off and the red and blue light is transmitted. The red light is shut off by the next polarizing plate 1-2 and further, the blue light is shut off by the polarizing plate 1-3. Then, the rays of R, G, B are completely shut off and the leak light and the coloration of the black chromatic colors by the optical rotatory power of the liquid crystal are drastically decreased when the liquid crystal segments make black display. The high contrast and the high image quality are thus obtd.

    • PURPOSE:To correct the linearity of a horizontal scanning beam in a television receiver by installing magnets near the right and the left ends of the opening of the deflection york in such a manner as to equalize the polarities of the magnets relative to the horizontal scanning beam. CONSTITUTION:Linear correction magnets 3 and 4 are installed near the right and the left ends of the opening of a deflection york 2 attached to a picture tube 1 in such a manner as to locate the S-poles on the scanning initiation side and locate the N-poles on the scanning termination side. An upward magnetic line of force is formed between the magnets 3 and 4 and the magnetic field strength at the start and the end of horizontal deflection is made greater than that at the geometrical center of the york 2. Accordingly, it is possible to easily correct horizontal linear strain which expands at the scanning initiation end and contracts at the scanning termination end without spending reactive power.
