CONSTITUTION:The surface potential of the photosensitive drum before the transfer is detected and the surface potential of the photosensitive drum is controlled by the surface potential adjusting means such as the pretransfer erasing light, so as to properly carry out the peeling of a sheet after the transfer, and a sheet peeling means such as the AC corona discharger 12, and an electrifier 2 is controlled. In other words, the surface potential of the photosensitive drum before the transfer is properly adjusted, and the current, voltage, etc., of the AC corona discharger 12, the electrifier 2, etc., for peeling the sheet are properly controlled. Thus, pollution caused by the toner of the photosensitive drum surface potential adjusting means such as the erasing light is periodicaly cleaned and a secular change in the characteristics of the photosensitive drum 1 and its environmental dependency change are prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To always stabilize the output value of a toner concentration sensor and to detect the toner concentration of a developer with sufficient precision by providing a developer forcibly carrying member periodically facing to the sensor and rotating, on the rotary shaft of an auger. CONSTITUTION:The developer forcibly carrying member 3 is loaded to a developer U-turn part 6. In the U-turn part 6, the delivery of the developer 5 from one screw-like auger 1 to the other screw-like auger 2 is smoothly carried out. Then, the developer forcibly carrying member 3 is provided on a position where it is periodically opposed to the sensor 4 and rotates, on the shaft of one auger 1 facing to the toner concentration sensor 4, out of two screw-like augers 1 and 2. Therefore, a specific developer 5 is prevented from being stagnated on the detecting surface of the toner concentration sensor 4 for a long time, and the output value of the toner concentration sensor 4 is prevented from being irregular and unstable, as well. Thus, the output value of the toner concentration sensor 4 is always stabilized, and the toner concentration of the developer can be detected with the sufficient precision.

    • PURPOSE:To shorten the handling time of a developer exchanging work and to simultaneously obtain stable printing quality without being affected by the life of a developer by discharging the developer of a prescribed quantity set in advance and supplying the fresh developer of the almost same quantity as a discharging quantity, when the used quantity of the developer inside a developing machine reaches a value set in advance. CONSTITUTION:The developer discharging part of the developing machine 1 is communicated with a developer container by a discharging pipe 8 via a discharging valve 7. When the used quantity of the developer 2 reaches the value set in advance, a part of the developer 2 finished to be used is exhausted by the prescribed quantity set in advance, the fresh developer 4 of almost the same quantity as the discharging quantity is fed to the developing machine 1 from a housing tank 3. In other words, the developer 2 is automatically and continuously discharged little by little and the fresh developer 4 of the same quantity is fed little by little, before the developer 2 inside the developing machine 1 is degraded in its quality reacher its service life. Thus, a period for carrying out the exchanging work of the developer 2 is prolonged, and simultaneously, the printing quality can be always stabilized.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent soiling of a drum and to prevent change in surface potential by fixing a range of potential difference of a non image part potential on the photosensitive drum and developing bias voltage to a specified amount and by providing a reference voltage generating device, and a drum surface potential controlling electrode. CONSTITUTION:An electrifying film of the photosensitive drum 1 is electrified to positive potential VO by an electrifying device 2, and when the electrifying film is neutralized by irradiating with a laser beam, VO is lowered to VR. When the bias voltage VBP given to a developing sleeve is lowered to less than VR, negative toner is stuck even to the part irradiated with the laser beam (non image part), causing surface fogging and soiling. To prevent this, VBP is made as close to VR as possible, and the attracting force against the positively electrified toner is weakened. In a standard developing, since there is little fluctuation of VR, VBP is set sufficiently close to VR. Then, if the difference between potential VO of non image part of the photosensitive drum and the developing bias potential VBN(VO - VBN) is selected between 50 to 300 volts, the electrophotographic device of a reverse developing method where soiling of the nonimage part does not generate is obtained.
